Engine Of The Day: Suzuki G |

I wonder if I can buy a G10T-shirt somewhere?

Seriously, though, what did these produce? Like 50hp? That would be enough for a semi-deadly go kart...

The big deal in Sevens these days involves huge high-performance engines that turn it into a death-trap supercar that only skilled race drivers can handle, but the original Seven came with a 40 HP flathead Ford and was intended for amateur car nuts to have fun in.

Plus, it would still be all Triumph, sort of.
Of course, this will have to wait until after my current projects are done.

Of course you would need to turn the entire engine and transmission sideways so that the halfshafts run fore and aft to two differentials, allowing for Full-Time Hybrid All-Wheel Drive™. The 50-50 torque split might not be the best for handling though.

I have drien a 550cc version of the Suzuki Hatch. Not sure if it had the G engine, but it was a 3-cyl, and it was pitiful.

Well, there is one that I can think of off the top of my head. The first generation of John Bloor's Hinckley built Triumph motorcycles had a modular engine design that was available in 900cc (883) 3 cylinder version that was used throughout the model range, and they also offered a 4 cylinder that they used in the Trophy 1200, and Daytona 1200 models.

"That's the neighbor lady coming down the hill."

Yeah, that never happens with hybrids.

Only once? Where's the fun in that?
One of the backroads that parallels I-81 near Christiansburg used to be very good for near-death experiences. One curve in particular, if taken at more than the suggested speed limit, had a nasty habit of leaving the Gutless Calais facing the wrong direction in the middle of the road.
Now I'm getting all nostalgic for my then-roomate's E28. *sniff*

Ah, being chased by local rednecks...all part of the SW VA experience. The roommate and I, whilst breaking in his new '96 Integra, were briefly harassed on those same backroads by a trio of aggro rednecks...in a Cadillac Cimarron.
You really can't make this shit up.

Any takers? I'll chip in the $80 I have left for beer and the eventual hospital bill.
