My German friend wanted to get something awesome for the Vette engined 94 Buick Roadmaster he imported. Given his town/area, the first two letters were going to be "NE" so we wanted to do "NEIN 9 9 9 " or some equivalent for No! No! No! for anyone wanting to try to pass that wide-assed monster. Alas, could not get it.

I wish I'd thought of "Moose Knuckle", being in New Hampshire. That's a goddamn classic.

On the other hand, I bet they'd let me get by with "NOMORE (man on the mountain)", since he fell down a year or so after they designed the plates.

On a more serious note, I've got a few under consideration for my Volvo, among them "BLUSWED", "LEGOCAR", and "3BOX".

    On a related note...

But the PSYMGNT car isn't yellow!

I wonder if any of these cars are owned by Jalops themselves.

My favorites are the ones that incorporate the base plate design - that just seems more add to the antiauthoritarian message for me. Of those, Eat The Kids First definitely wins.

My favourite are the ones that are unintentional, like

    A55 O RGY, a standard Florida number

ANASLEX, probably Ana's Lexus, but uh...

DIANAL, probably Diana L. something, but uh...

Not a vanity plate, really but one of the coolest I'd seen was a faux-European numberplate on the front bumper of a Renault R5 Turbo. In mirror-reversed black letters against a silver background: RETSAF OG

I heard that someone in Massachusetts got a plate reading ERROR. Seems it saved him a lot of tickets before they came and took it back.

@Van Sarockin: I read a story once about a guy who, when applying for a vanity plate, put NO PLATE in the space for his second choice in case the first wasn't available. It wasn't, so the DMV sent him NO PLATE. He ended up getting piles of tickets until he wised up and sent the plates back.

At the office building I used to work at, there was a woman who got dropped off every morning in a Prius with the plate NVMYMPG. The sheer smugness drew me into near-uncontrollable fits of rage.

Anyways, after seeing the M ORONS (awesome!) and the V AGINA I'm thinking of getting a University of Illinois plate. I DIOTS
