As far as Vettes go, I've never found I needed anything more than a Z06, myself. Even a Z51 is plenty for 95% of what I'd use a two seater for. I know the ZR-1 is a better track tool, but I wouldn't be buying a Vette for the track. And I like my street cars to be subtle, so a decal package doesn't do it for me.

I don't get it, it says this is about Serious track influenced design features and a Focus on lightweight and performance driving. But isn't it just a decal package? I mean, is there a radio delete option? Have they cut out some of the sound-deadening? What the Eff? If I want to buy something that has track aspirations, I want it to take some steps toward that goal. I don't want to just look like a d-bag poseur.

This makes a '77 Z/28 look comparatively tasteful.

I am a self-diagnosed Corvette fan boy. However, I cannot justify an additional $3,350 for what amounts to little more than an appearance package. I might be suckerred into paying that much more if it was a stripped-out version with bigger breaks and little power hike, but not for a bunch of stickers.

I'm sorry, GM. I love you and all, but this is almost (but not quite) as bad as the late 70's Cobra II appearance package on Mustang IIs.

If you've got enough dough to drop $70k on a 'Vette, why not scrape together $30k more and spring for the ZR1?

Buy it, store it and in 30 years you will have lost a ton of money after factoring in the time value of money and heated / climate controlled storage coupled with the fact that at auction a run of the mill production car won't even make its original sticker price.

Ridiculous. And what's so nice about those headlights? They look as amateur and outdated as usual. Z06 still is a cool beast though.

@Sportwagons have hustle AND bustle: The ultimate dousche baggery was this little runt who rolled into the paddock at Road Atlanta and towing hi sGT3 with a Cayenne - then after nursing it around the track got out and proceeded to put Porsche brand brake cooler fans at each wheel while wearing a black Porsche bowling shirt with yellow epaulets. True story.

If I've said it once, I've said it a hundred times. There needs to be more factory-option tacky appearance packages for the 'Vette.

    This is weaaaaaaaak.

Comp sport should have adjustable springs, STICKY, STICKY tires, FORCED manual transmission, and a BETTER appearance package. Maybe a C6.R replica livery. Like the vette skull thing (I forget its name)... bigger brakes, competition front fascia/airdam

    This current package is tomfoolery.

Club-Sport prepped Miatas are more track worthy than this Pep Boys special. Hey, that's an idea! Make a BUDGET-minded club sport minded 'vette! Then you could actually excuse the cheap interior!

    @Blainestang:

    Ah, right.

Well anyways what I meant was (though this package USES "Jake") the ENTIRE livery should reflect the C6.R program.

    @ WilliamG.

the story says that this package is an option for the Z06 and the stock vette.

That said, this package should be a notch above Z06 handling but not quite as good as the ZR1. And the stripes are hideous.

I really, really hate this Vette.

If I won one in a raffle or something, I'd still take it, but the first thing I'd do is spray paint the entire thing matte black, just to hide all this nasty shit.
