You know what's funny is despite all the talk about propaganda, America isn't portrayed as the enemy nearly as much in China as the Chinese is here. I mean China has other forms of propaganda as well, but seriously, America really really likes to show China as evil.

    Just ask Richard Gere.

I wonder how the Chinese are going to sneak up on us in this one. Maybe they're digging a tunnel from Tibet to Detroit or sneaking a ride in a fleet of Seagrams trucks out of Windsor?

Remember all those holes we dug as Children? And when our parents asked if we where digging to China?

Yup, they finally had enough holes dug to China to invade. It's all our youths fault.

If they have this take place at the University of Michigan I'm gonna be pissed. I fucking hate that school and team. And I don't want to be referencing a cheer for them when I am killing commies. I just won't stand for this bullshit.

Also, we will yell "Go Blue!" at random intervals just to be a**holes. Because it's fun.

(Randomly, you didn't happen to go to Ohio State, did you? Them peeps are CRAJI with UofM psychotic hatred to an extent not quite understood by their northern neighbors.)

@NoelleBlue: Again I call bullshit, because Michigan is 2nd only to California in states that wouldn't be able to fend off an invading army. Besides, Detroit would practically welcome the Chinese due to their love of all things socialized and communist, and a blind hatred for all things awesome like guns.

The economic plan is working! granholm is providing scores of jobs for the residents of gotham with the tax incentives for movie production! Families that depended on a middle class income from assembly / production work can now make minimum filling steam table pans to feed the film crews while manufacturing businesses find favorable locations in other areas of country. Brilliant!

I also wonder, how much asbestos was tossed into the air by these old building detonations?

SO funny the chinese are the invaders in this one as they lost 400 million (if I recall correctly) in the last movie fighting with us. Global war doesn't make sense to me, just like 1984, we fight who they tell us is the enemy at the time...

I appreciate the Capricegasm today, but isn't this a bit much just for the "Caprice" name? The Caprice only became a cop car in '86, when the Impala name was dropped and only lasted through '96.

Although, really, the model name is secondary on Chevy and Ford cop cars anyway, since they've changed so many times. No matter what you call them, though, for a twentysomething like myself the '77-'90 Chevy 9C1 and '79-'91 Ford LTD are pretty iconic cop cars - they're the first ones I remember and they were on the road forever.

@Mazda Eric: It took place in 1980, and there were a number of small inconsistencies in that movie regarding car models. Then again, only obsessive-compulsive Jalops would worry about that.

It's entirely forgiveable, however, because the Coens made a fantastic adaptation of that book.
