Sure it may help with an ecological problem, but it doesn't address a humanitarian problem. [en.wikipedia.org]

I just hope like hell nobody shows up with a peanut butter-powered car. The inevitable carnage will be deadly. Delicious, but deadly.

I think I'll be going to the farmer's market this weekend so I can start making my own F3 car. Maybe I can use my connections at Morley Candy Company to get some Sanders Swiss Dark Fudge Topping.

I chose Swiss Dark because that seems to be the most popular with the ladies. I want to be able to say I have PM Fuel.

@engineerd: Pick up some Jordan almonds and maybe you can build an F1 car. I doubt it will be trulli competitive, though.

If it needs unleaded chocolate they better not get it from China.

The last report on this [jalopnik.com] stated that it wouldn't be competing because the chocolate based fuel was not F3 approved. Any word on what changed since then?

@TimTim: "The F3 car, known officially as the WorldFirst but affectionately as the Flying Carrot, has been permitted to enter an F3 race at the Formula Ford Festival, despite not exactly confirming to the sport's technical regulations."

They probably let it in because it's bringing them a lot of popularity. I, for one, didn't even know there WAS an F3...

Looks like a race car, sounds like a race car, smells like a... chocolate bar? They've found the perfect way to attract more women to the sport of racing.

Well, since carrots are carbon based, you can kind of say it's made of carbon fiber, right?

@gdfowler: Since the coffee grounds aren't turned into fuel until after the precious fluid of life is brewed, it shouldn't affect the price. If anything the price will go down because the formerly useless grounds will now have monetary value. This should encourage more consumption.

    From Espresso to Esso.

I do fear the potential grounding of the Exxon Juan Valdez resulting in heart palpitations due to caffeine overdose for thousands of seabirds and marine mammals.
