You know, I'll say it. I like it. If this is a glimpse into the future of electric cars, then i can buy into it. Realiability, price and range need improvements, but that's a good looking car. Because it's underpinnings are Lotus, you know it will handle as well. Tesla has been a miserable failure in the selling cars department, but I think they broke the ice properly.
For those of your who really hate electric cars hope that Chrysler actually makes it into production with one. If anyone can make something not work, it's Chrysler.
I remember the good old days, when automakers could put different grilles on different cars. Why does every thing have to have a crosshair or a fishmouth?
See, mister government man? We's all about the future 'n' shit! Jus' look at this E-lec-tric car we built and are "definitely" planning on producin'! Totally legit! Can we have some more gov't green, now?
Can I please have an electric car made by a company that just went bankrupt and was then thusly bought by an Italian car maker whose name is affectionately thought to stand for "fix it again, Tony,", and who was completely incapable of making the chassis themselves and so they got one from a third company?
@FormerlyPreferredCustomer: Oh God trying to decide between the two is giving me flashbacks to early November 2004 and trying to choose between W. and Kerry. I thought that was the ultimate decision between the lesser of two evils but somehow we've found the 10th circle of Hell: A battery powered shriek fest colored in bright orange and ego.
@ThreeLitre: Thats okay, its an electric vehicle with legendary Dodge reliability and amazing all-electric range. You'll never have to drive it anywhere, even if you own one.
@layabout returns: I like the color too. No need to be ashamed.
I saw one of these at the NY auto show and it really looked pretty good. Hope it actually happens.
This was a marketing gimmick from day one. Chrysler knew their audience in Congress was hell-bent on forcing "green technology" on the country no matter the cost. Apparently for Chrysler, the cost is too high.
Autocar's sources claim the Dodge Circuit EV program has been put on hold indefinitely, meaning the Tesla Roadster-competitor got unplugged before ever seeing the light of day.
Ok, so if I'm understanding this correctly, vaporware can have other vaporware competitors?
This reminds me of when I was back in Kindergarten, "My imaginary friend can beat up your imaginary friend!!"

Oh, yeah, the two thousand-teens K-car.
How long before there is an imposter called Imperial on this chassis, which is also shared by a minivan?
(please, do not let his happen, again...once was traumatic enough, and made me actually want one of the last, square-trunk, Imperials)
AAAACCCCCKKKKK!!!!! I can't unsee it!

Are either of you University of Texas grads?
This color is inescapable in Austin.
