    This is probably the 5-door 2011 Alfa Romeo Milano (149), it matches Car's spy shots. The Alfa Romeo dealership should be an interesting place: "We got a roomier Mini hatchback competitor, a luxury bigger-than-Golf hatchback, and a $301,600 Italian exotic, come on down!"

    I can accept all of this except the discontinuation of the Jeep Patriot and the Dodge Caravan. Especially the Caravan, which has been the only worthwhile product in the Dodge lineup since the pre-Benz days. #chryslerfiat

    @area_educator: fiat. noun A command or act of will that creates something without or as if without further effort. An authoritative determination. An authoritative or arbitrary order.

    Dunno how that would relate (there's a metaphor in there somewhere!), but you could always tell your friend that. #chryslerfiat

    I like the 50o, but the Mito is a bit of a minger. I also do not see the point in eliminating the Caravan. If they are keeping the Town and Country, it would be easy enough to keep it's different in minor details cousin. I also question the logic in revisiting the Milano nameplate, as it was not that good of a car when it was sold here in the 1980's. It's one of the models that killed Alfa's reputation in the US, and no one is nostalgic for it. #chryslerfiat

    @Jim-Bob: are you kidding? You sir apparently go get around race tracks much. The Milano and GTV-6 is a fav among Alfisti racers for its excellent handling, rear transaxle, De Dion rear suspension and sweet sounding V6. #chryslerfiat

    So no midsize cars for Dodge and Chrysler? The Sebring and Avenger may not be favored with the media, but they still sell a lot of cars.

    And eliminating the Caravan? WTF?

    I like everything here but the Chrysler badging on the 500. I still wouldn't mind one, but it'll mean a lot more eBaying.

    EDIT: And if Dodge becomes a 'retro' brand, Journey goes. If Journey can stay, so can Squaravan. Seems silly otherwise.

    If these are indeed their plans then why do we keep hearing about how Fiat is going to keep the Avenger and Sebring alive, albeit slightly revamped, in both lineups? Or the possibility of the Sebring being replaced by something like the 200 concept?

    The other odd thing is Dodge dropping the Grand Caravan - isnt that the better selling of the twins? Leaving just the T&C would probably surrender the "best selling minivan" crown to Toyota or Honda. Very odd decisions coming from spaghetti-land. #chryslerfiat

    @the lesser of two weevils: Dont worry about the Caravan. Ever since Plymouth died, Chrysler has had the bare bones model of the van covered as well as the high end version.

    They are all the same van anyways and as we know, this rebadging 3 versions of the same vehicle is stupid. Even if you put crap in a fancy bag, its still a bag of crap. #chryslerfiat
