Epic trip, the closest I came to this was a trip to Morocco. On the way back into France the police took a very long hard look at my clapped out Mercedes bus and uncovered a fragment of hash that my idiot passenger had failed to remove. Thankfully they let us go, probably figuring that big time dope dealers don't drive ancient busses full of dread locked crusties.
They weren't so blase about the one year old people carrier next to us, they took every bit of plastic and every removable metal panel off it...don't know if they found anything but if they didn't I sincerely doubt they got it back together again.

@Van Sarockin, rogue trebuchet: The line of beers I had drank was too long. I had posted pics before, and was too lazy to go find that Lifehacker or Gizmodo "Guide To Commenting" post, and I tried to apologize to Murilee and ask that these all get deleted, but then things got fuzzy, and I woke up with an uncanny likeness of a keyboard pad impressed on one side of my face. Need to save this stuff for the CSRSL.

I live in in what was left of Yugoslavia... Those guys must have passed trough long before I was born, but hanging with classic cars crowd, I have listened to whole lot of stories about hippies, drug dealers, adventurists of all kinds passing trough ex Yugoslavia in 60's and 70's.
Lot of those people got busted by Yugoslav police, some of them crashed but many just passed without any problems. Those who got stranded in Yugoslavia left cars behind and they have spend years rusting on police impound lots. And, some times, cars were fabulous. Personally, I saw '59 Fleetwood, that was confiscated from some French hash dealers and my friend have a Triumph TR7 which was taken from some Dutch heroin smugglers...
I think, I should write those stories down... great stuff, hate to see it lost and forgotten...

@Novaload Wants the Jez 9 Back:
Yugoslavia was major big with smugglers during 60's and 70's because it was fastest route to Middle East and Turkey. Everything illegal was smuggled trough Yugoslavia ( and still is ) because it was friendly communist country with high standards of living in those days. So, if you were drug dealer from Western Europe it was better to go trough Yugoslavia than Romania or Bulgaria which in those were in hard core communism with very nasty police. Hash and all kinds of drugs could be easily bought in Turkey and carried back, making huge profit. But, not all people carried drugs. I heard a story about Mercedes W109 350 which could accept just 25 liters of fuel in it's enormous tank. After it was sold in police auction, guy open it up and find a box in tank, which was full of digital watches, very expensive in early 70's! He told me, that street value of those watches were around 100 000 deutsche marks, big money in those days! Unfortunately, fuel in the tank ruined all of them.
Today, drugs are carried by trucks, trains and ships and digital watches are cheap and made in China. There no more crazy adventurists with a cool cars running trough foreign countries, making legends and looking for a quick money and fun... ;)

I had a wild road trip pretty much like this once: i went with some friends in a Suburban to an outlet mall in Canada, and we didn't claim anything when we came back over the border. Not the booze; not the clothes or even the Cuban cigars for my boyfriend.
OK, my life has never been like Richie's. maybe because I fear a close-range gunshot behind the ear.
Oh, and the Belgian girl needs some sunscreen - skin cancer is dangerous!

    Actually, the whole inquiry was...

"How many dead prostitutes will fit in the trunk? I need to know if it will hold more than five, as my daily commute route has changed due to carpooling and my dump site will only be accessible on the weekends. Thanks!"

If feel excluding the phrase "dump site" really makes the question seem cheap, and forced.

Also, you do want to stock up on pine tree air fresheners and new weatherstripping, as a non-air tight seal won't lock in the freshness (or the tell tale bugs) as well as fresh rubber applied to the body of your secret hooker awesome morgue (on wheels).
