Now that we've got show coverage all but wrapped up for the 2008 Geneva Motor Show, we're thinking it's time to show you a bit of Geneva itself. The Swiss are famous for roughly two things: their unwavering neutrality and chocolate. What better cause célèbre for creating a chocolate car than the auto show? We found this stylized Audi TT and it's lesser automotive friends on display at a Chocolatier near the train station. Rumor has it the car is equipped with the exclusive new aero package and a candy coated dual clutch DSG system. BTW, the Swiss Franc trades roughly on par with the US dollar, so that's about a $120 confection. Yowch.

<![CDATA[Chocolate Ferrari F1 Car Sure Is Tasty]]>

By the time you read this, the chocolate Ferrari F2008 you see above will be all gone, devoured by Ferrari owners with a sweet tooth. The full-scale model was made with 4,405lbs of Belgian chocolate and was on display at a Ferrari Owners Club event in Naples. Chocolate lovers needn't worry, for just $23,500 Ferrari would be happy to make you your very own. [Via World Car Fans]

<![CDATA[Gearhead Chocolates Convey True Meaning Of Love]]> chocotools.jpgNow that you got that pesky dinner taken care of, how about the after dinner chocolates? Nothing says "I love you just a little bit less than my current project car" than a nice set of gearhead chocolates.

Oddly enough, the chocolates look very, very lifelike. I could easily mistake these for some very-rusted over tools and get to work, but these are meant for eating, not working. Included are wrenches, pliers, bolts, nuts and more. The downside is that they are made by the Japanese company Trantz, so first off, who knows how you can get the. And secondly, who knows if these tools are really chocolate. [Frantz]

<![CDATA[Turn Your Pitiful Valentine's Day Into Biodiesel Fun!]]>

With Valentine's Day creeping up on us, Russel Stover of eat-my-f'ing-chocolates fame should look into getting into the automotive industry by teaming up with Andy Pag and John Grimshaw, two blokes who recently drove a modified 1989 Ford Iveco Cargo from the United Kingdom to Timbuktu, all on biodiesel created from... chocolate. Mmmm... Timbuktu is in West Africa, by the way. Some info for those (like myself) who had no idea prior.

The mission was more than just showing off the chocolate truck—the pair delivered a biodiesel processing unit to a charity in Timbuktu to allow the locals to create their own biodiesel from sustainable resources. The journey took the pair a month to complete.

All equipment created and used was salvaged from scrap yards; the inventive duo will be leaving the chocolate truck in Timbuktu. This made me think of chocolate bunnies, those hollow Easter treats that we all love to decapitate. How about a real chocolate truck, confected along the same lines as the bunny, to celebrate Pag and Grimshaw's achievement? [Boing Boing]
