    I thought going 100km on three litres was a pretty good benchmark, this sets the bar a bit higher - and makes it a moving target. OPEC could really screw with you just when you think you've got it nailed down.

    3-Euro car, huh?

    Yeah, I'd say that little Daewoo's worth about three euros. What d'you guys think?

    3 Euros = 5.18 Canadian

    75c/L = 6.8L of fuel

    6.8L/100kms is pretty achievable by most compact cars, and this isn't even the cheap end of the country for gas.

    Matt, is it LPG or CNG? You wording was a little ambiguous.

    @The Name's Ash78, Housewares: LPG - Liquid Petroleum Gas

    European's popular label for the Natural Gas found at the stations to fill up. There are conversion kits that put a small tank in the trunk and allows you to run both regular gas and nat. gas at the same time.

    @nairdasti: Yep, I clicked and saw that. There are also numerous CNG bi-fuel conversions, which was the reason for my confusion. Both work, but as you say, Autogas (LPG) is the common European pump fuel.

    @The Name's Ash78, Housewares: Where is CNG popular?

    Seeing that it's only compressed and not liquified, the LPG would be a better mpg/space in the car ratio.

    @nairdasti: CNG is common among workmen's trucks and city buses in the US.

    @The Name's Ash78, Housewares: There's a trucking firm around here (Wisconsin) with a lovely German name that translates as 'Desire to travel': Willfahrt.
