Chevy Hits SEMA With Four Camaro Concepts And A Load Of Accessories

In case you haven't seen the 2010 Chevy Camaro enough yet, GM is bringing four concept Camaros to SEMA this week, some of them actually interesting. The lineup includes the Camaro LS7 Concept (guess what that one's got under the hood), Camaro Dale Earnhardt Jr. Concept (yeah, we figured), Camaro Black Concept and the Camaro GS Racecar Concept, along with a GM Performance Parts car loaded to the gills with stuff you can buy for your Camaro — the one that won't be in your garage until at least next year. Let's take a closer look at this bevy of concepts for the official car of this year's SEMA show plus all the accessories. Hit the jump for all the details after perusing the galleries below.

Chevy-Sponsored Camaro Black Heading For SEMA Show Floor

Chevy has released a single teaser-style image of their 2008 SEMA show-bound Camaro Black, described only as "a dark and mysterious interpreta." We're pretty sure they meant "interpretation" but ran into character limitations in their imaging software. Regardless, the Camaro Black show car actually looks to be a gunmetal gray based on the photo and appears decked out with a sinister-looking body kit and the requisite SEMA monster alloy wheels shod in low-profile rubber. The red glow from the headlights may also indicate some sort of LED illumination kit, but what you see is all we know at this point; we'll either get a constant dribble of teasers a-la 2010 Mustang or just bring you the goods from the Vegas show floor in two weeks.

What It Looks Like To Use GM AutoBook To Order A Camaro SS

What you're looking at here is the GM AutoBook program set up for the 2010 Chevy Camaro. It's the 2SS additional options list, though unfortunately there's no pricing listed. Regardless, this gives you a good idea of just how many different boxes you can tick off when ordering your retro muscle machine. Just like the in old days, it's all about the details.

GM Performance Parts Tricking Out New Camaro For SEMA Spectacle

Since the 2010 Chevy Camaro is the official vehicle of the 2008 SEMA show, GM has been hard at work readying special cars to show off new goodies from GM Performance Parts. Working with the GM Design Team on some "interesting twists," the builds of the hopped-up Camaros have been chronicled in these new teaser videos. We're not sure if the SEMA cars will be anything like Bumblebee's new look or the red work in progress we've seen before, but at least they won't be the standard Camaro that we've all seen plenty of already. Video after the jump.

Transformers 2 Caught At Air Force Base, Chevy Beat Bot To Be "Skids"

Looks like the crew of Transformers 2 was caught on-set in Arizona at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base along with a couple of the more robotic cast members — albeit while in their vehicle mode get-ups. Based on the plates, it looks like we're also able to put a name to the bot who will be played by the Chevy Beat: Skids. Despite our best efforts, we couldn't decipher the plate on the Chevy Trax, but that's okay because the upgraded Chevy Camaro will still be Bumblebee, and that's the only one we really care about anyway. (Thanks for the pics Matthew)

2010 Camaro Standard And Optional Features List Leaks Onto Web

All you Camaro fanboys waiting to plan the option boxes you'll be checking when the car shows up in showrooms this spring, rejoice. Someone on the forums has leaked a list of standard and optional features available on all Camaro trim lines. From the looks of things, a "base" Camaro is a bit of a misnomer, as even the LS will get XM, Stabilitrak, 6-speaker audio and enough airbags to float the Titanic. Of course, the magic code is "1SS" which nets you the 6.2-liter V8 and, you know, a bunch of other unimportant stuff. Full breakdown after the jump.

Bumblebee's Tarted-Up Camaro Body Spotted Clearly On Transformers 2 Set

We're already the first to have shown you Bumblebee's newly tarted-up aftermarket look (and again showing off that very newish nose and with Shia ), and now we're getting some better shots of his muscularly-modded bod sitting on the Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen set at White Sands Holloman AFB. We already know the look isn't any production trim level Chevy will be offering on the new Chevy Camaro, and thank goodness because it's certainly "special" looking. And — umm — that's really all there is to say about that. If you're interested, Transformers Live has some more galleries of some of the other vehicles (Optimus Prime, Ratchet and Ironhide) over there.

New Chevy Camaro SS Revealed, Officially And Underwhelmingly, At 2008 IndyBash

While we're excited for the 2010 Chevy Camaro SS, the reveal yesterday was rather undramatic, taking place at an event held at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway called the 2008 IndyBash. Yeah, and as expected, it was filled with all sorts of surprises — like — um, OK, so there weren't any surprises. What should we expect from the reveal of the "SS" version of what may quite possibly be the most over-exposed and vehicle in the history of the automobile? Not much, wethinks. So, on that level, the reveal met expectations. But, if you're interested in seeing the car up close — again — for the umpteenth time — check out the gallery below. Many thanks to the folks at the Camaro5 forum for snapping all of them for your viewing pleasure.
