The strip that contains the Studebaker seems to have a constant rotation of cool classics. I'm trying to figure out who lives there that keeps owning oddball classics for 3-4 months at a time.
@RoboRed loves his virtual G8 GXP: So did I. One of my earliest TV memories was back in the days when GM built a half decent truck and backed it up with that catchy tune.
I was actually under the false impressions that GM built better trucks then Ford. Then, I came into possession of a 1994 Chevrolet K2500 loaded to the max with a 350 and a 5spd. Then, after many thousands of dollars and hours of pain later, I bought a 1990 Ford F-150 XLT Lariat and never looked back.
Heads up, GM - if you overdo the hype and the car isn't fucking FANTASTIC, you'll look like dickheads, and we'll be the infuriated taxpayers who kept the dickheads employed and overpaid. Play your cards a little closer.
When it hit the charts, Weird Al's song White and Nerdy, a spoof of Chamillionaire's Ridin Dirty, took off like a rocket. People called Chamillionaire and congratulated him on his great take on Weird Al's song. The official Youtube view count for Ridin Dirty stands at about 2.1m views, White and Nerdy is closer to 5 million.
Without even listening to the song, how long before somebody comes up with something that mocks it, and is way more entertaining?
You know, I think the best part of this is that, aside from the newer cars outside, there's no way you'd know this wasn't from the early '70s...the Nova, the Dead on tape, the whole Richard Manuel look that Murilee's got going and his hippie buddy's Chuck Taylors...all very not 1991. I dig it.
Oh, by the way Murilee when are we going to get a complete list of all the cool beaters you've had over the years? Your automotive history seems to be pure gold and you've been teasing us for ages.
If FromaBuick6 has to watch one more Chevy commercial, he's going to punch Howie Long in the face was starred

@LTDScott: And it's funny to think that a car of the same age today would be a 1994 model. I think there was a big difference between reliability of 1976 and 1991 cars, but not so much between 1994 and 2009 cars.
Fantastic shots, Mr. Science. FWIW, the Jaaaag is a Series II, as it has the tombstone shaped taillights. (Series IIIs had larger, multicolored lenses.)

This is J-nik. The Ford is the only right answer.

Man, I miss seeing cars and trucks with wing windows. Heck, I miss cars and trucks. Everything is an SUV or a Caddy with a bed these days.
Save the wing windows.
