I call BS on this one. We all know that cars "aimed at the young" end up being bought by old people trying to look hip. All of those cars look way too hard to climb into for the real target demographic. #conceptcars
Once again Audi and Mazda are the only noteworthy examples of clear design direction. While the other manufacturer's run nillywilly with their nonsensical unfocused designs, Audi and Mazda have instantly recognizable elements that hopefully survive to 2030. #conceptcars
Once you enter your destination into the navi app on your smart phone, you can play against the vehicle to "win" complete control over the system and gain access to increasingly outrageous driving scenarios.
I love the sound of this. I think it'll be hilarious to see kids being forced to square off against a War Games computer every time they want to go somewhere. Didn't make the high score? The car's taking you to Boise! Wanna go to Starbucks? Fat chance, gotta beat the Parnelli Jones boss at his own game! Why didn't you go to school today, Junior? I was driving there, but I couldn't get the Star Power 4x multiplier at 48,375 points and the car sent me the wrong way down an on-ramp! #conceptcars
However, these are styled as if they were an afterthought.
Additionally, they're not for added speed, probably, but to try and extract an extra 4cm per litre of fuel.
An automobile with this much power obvioulsy requires AWD, or tracks, to put it to the ground, properly. With these power numbers, and cost, I want to see the theoretical 3 golf bags in the trunk getting to 60 MPH in under 3 seconds.

Notice that the clock on the LCD display doesn't show the same time as the clock in the instrument cluster. Nice touch, Brabus. Goes well with the fender skirts.
What I find humorous is, on my 15 year old W124, the IC analogue clock keeps better time than the digital one on the moderately-priced (not cheap, but not high-end, for it's time) in-dash CD/MP3 deck. I think it's a German-sounding brand, too, but not Becker of Blaupunkt.
I think Becker still makes 8-tracks...with tubesets.
Wes, how many times are you going to refer to your pending Laguna Seca brawl with Maximum Lutz in the same article. We get it, You, Lutz, Showdown of the year.
Onto the topic at hand. If any American Car Company re-introduced rear fender skirts, you wouldn't be so charitable. This thing may be very fast, but Brabus made it look like ass.
Does this mean that MX83 Cressida's will be eligible? Just imagine being the dealer who has the horrible duty of putting several 7MGE engines to death.

I think that early-'90s Voyager started out that faded-turquoise colour, but got partially spray-painted orange. I'm glad I can't see any more of it...
@Canuck Chinaman: Yeah, I see it, in that awful brown colour. Couldn't tell whether that was the case (thought about it for a minute) 'cos the wheel was deceivingly spray-painted orange, and the angle isn't great. I'm agreeing, though, on second glance, because it stops in the right places, and I doubt the dealer/owner would mask the bumpers and not the tire.
The woodgrain doesn't look all that rubbish with the white or light-blue vans, but with that colour it's just a horrible clash. Glad it's finally where it belongs.

It might help aerodynamics, but this car is meant to beat Bob Lutz not Danny Zuko.

@Flathead Smith: But could you say that to this kind face?
(Granted it's probably still designed and built in the UK).
