Damn, that girl is good. I think the car looks great (I like the weathered effect on the purple/blue. Adds texture so they are not just flat primary colors).
I love this story so much. And I would totally learn to drive in this car.
Important question: He said he'd donate his portion of the race winnings to the Aflac Cancer Center. Did he? And is there a link to their donations page so your readers can donate also, if they are so inspired?
It looks alright. You can tell it was done by a 13 year old.
Is that a good thing in this case? If she was Rembrandt it wouldn't be recognizable as their act of good will, it would just look perfect. I guess its best in this case it isn't too good.
Carl Edwards is my favorite NASCAR driver. He's one of the Roushketeers. He's not only a helluva driver, but as you can see, he's a great guy! When he wins a race, he does a back flip from the driver's window of his car. He used to do the flip on the asphalt, but I think Jack Roush must have asked him to move it to the grass, as that's where he does it now.
@skaycog - Got Milk?: When did he get hurt? Carl's a nice guy. Last time I met him, he had a busted thumb. Still signed everyone's thing with that hand. And that was when Jack Roush's mom died. He was supposed to have met us instead. Carl and Greg came in his stead. Good man.
@Pessimipposaurus: He broke his foot a week and a half ago. You met him....wow...lucky you! What kind of guy did Greg seem to be? He seems so serious during interviews.
@skaycog - Got Milk?: I became a fan when, instead of breaking for a corner, he intentionally drove his car into the wall in an effort to have the wall steer him around the corner while maintaining throttle and hoping to pass the 1st place car on the last turn.
It didn't work, of course, but in the post-race interview he said he always wanted to try it because it works in some video games.
That's totally cool, and good for her. However, though I remain open to the possibility that a 13 year old girl can design an attractive car, 13 year old boys tend to belong to the 'more is better, and too much is just right' school of automotive design. Which might explain the end-years Countach.
"If I find even one scratch, one penny missing from the ashtray, then no tip for you. You see this foot? You should have seen the last valet's ass when I was done."
I'm not a NASCAR fan but I really appreciate the fact that they can have some fun with their paint schemes and do some charitable work too. Good on ya NASCAR.

Too bad Carl didn't have the race suit to go along with the paint job.
SHAZAM!

I'm glad that happened; it must be a pretty damn cool thing to have your artwork shown of on national television.
Nice work, Jody!
