    @Plecostomus will never win COTD... but has a: I'm actually waiting to hear the full story. I read all the pages of the original thread, and the owner claims to have dusted a Challenger the night before, and then to have taken his brand new Camaro up to 176 mph (155 mph limiter be damned!). As of the last F5 viewing, that comment has been picked up by a cop in Florida... let's see if the word gets 'round to his local police force.


    There was also an interesting analysis by some guy who looked very carefully at the pictures and opined that the damage was caused by the driver sliding into something backwards. Let me see if I can find it to link:

    @strllng plyr: This guy doesn't sound like he would stand for getting passed by anybody, and he only had the car for 20 hours before it got dragonated. I doubt it was him, but ya never know, anything is possible!

    @KevinRose: It's not for the Camaro. It's for the fact that the guy who owned it had to have his insurance cover it because the stupid fuckknob who hit him was uninsured and unlicensed.

    @KevinRose: Mass produced? I live an hour from the factory, I still haven't seen a single one on the road, and dealers don't seem to have any yet (unless the ones that've been delivered have gone straight into hermetically sealed garages). And, given the way anything interesting GM builds are knocking off like teenagers in a horror movie, who knows how long this thing'll be built.

    Funny this came up today, as today was the first time I've seen an SS on the road. I'm thinking they look a TON better in person.
