I have not been able to visit this site or my jfavorite Jalopnik fan site since I started slinging Cadillacs about 3 weeks ago. I have never been so damn excited about a product launch in my life that I am actually breaking company rules to post here and tell you that I have never been so excited about a product launch in my life.
I can't wait to see one of these piloted by one of our more senior hoons practicing the Art and Science of the blind lane change because he can't really figure out if there's a glazier's truck at his 5:00. Crash! Tinkle!
Its truly stunning, and easily the best looking luxury car out there today. It'll also be the most desirable luxury machine this side of the Atlantic as soon as Ford finally ends production of the Lincoln Town Car.
Now. I'm still going to have to say, its not the best in history. 1959's DeVille, and Lincoln's incredible Mark IV Continentals are still in a whole different league.
Damn fine lookin' coupe if you ask me. The latest and perhaps best iteration yet of 21st Century Cadillac zaniness. Art + Science Fiction. I hope the Philly Car Show has one, cuz I want to see it in the flesh ASAP.
@JC Whitless: You really need to quit scoping people's gay nephews. BTW, mine drives a Mustang GT500. If I'm nice he might let me drive it when he visits the family for Thanksgiving. He's a great kid and welcome at my house any time. He's also a tough little bastard and can kick a homophobe's ass six ways from Sunday.
What a fantastic commercial. Caddy seems to be the only GM division capable of creating inspiring commercials... and cars. I couldn't be more pleased to see them really shifting their market into the future. My father has only ever owned Cadillac's. When I was younger, his cars were too "old man" for my taste. I always wished he switched to something a bit more modern such as BMW or Mercedes. He stayed true however. The re-awaking of Cadillac has me actually thinking about owning one for the first time in my life. It's true, it is not your father Cadillac anymore. Kudos.
Compare this ad to the new Buick ad. This is inspiring, while the Buick ad is insipid. This is forward thinking, while the Buick ad is ass. This is visually stimulating, while the Buick ad is visually disturbing.
OK, Buick, it's now time to fire your ad agency, and find a new one stat. You're only one of 4 GM brands left, and if you don't change your product, and elevate your message, maybe you won't survive.
Cadillac, this is a great campaign, but it's time to add some more significant products to the stable. The DTS is old, the Escalade should be retired, and the STS? Well, it never had a chance. And the XLR, well, it really was a Corvette in drag. So it's time to revive the product line, and offer something other than CTS vehicles, and a CUV.
@JB_Finesse: I really liked the "Break Through" campaign. They got your attention and did a good job showing off the cars - something which those Kate Walsh ads don't do.
If FromaBuick6 has to watch one more Chevy commercial, he's going to punch Howie Long in the face was starred

Still, the fact that the CTS has seen the light of production is the one bit of good news I've had thus far.

Good news, though, it is. GM lives!

But it is to bad to dream of having that big of a naturally aspirated beast?
