Nice price, the same way a truckload of grapefruit for $5 is a nice price, even though you don't really want and certainly don't need them; and they'll rot away before you get around to doing anything with them.
And it will cost you more than your original outlay of $5 to unload them.

Things like this make me want to move far enough out of town to have 5 acres and a car barn. That is a whole lot of fun for $5000 if you have the space to store it all. And think of the variety - a stock, sorted, pristine 88 with the good suspension, a modded to hell one with an old school engine (403 olds) and an in between moderately powered one with a modern engine - 3.4 "twin dual cam" 200-210 horsepower + 7000 rpm redline.

@beercheck: The '88s do have the best suspension by far (unique to the Fiero instead of borrowed from the T- and X-bodies), but who doesn't love MOAR POWER?

@SLRSpeedshop is dog tired of submitting stuff.: Had the wing stolen off of it less than 48 hours after I bought it. Think my insurance paid $1500 for the replacement.

It also cought fire once, but it was due to a coolant (turns out that stuff burns!) leak that saturated the insulation around the exhaust manifold. Luckily, I just happened to be peering into the engine compartment in the dark and saw the flame.

No. Never. Uh uh. No freaking way. Do you know what happens to Fieros as they decompose? They call out to to as you sleep, in the hopes of living on as a pretend real car. "Make me into a Fauxrarri" "I want to pretend to be a Countach" Your peaceful sleep is haunted by terrible dreams of badly fitting fiberglass body panels. A once harmless Pontiac falls into that weird realm of looking almost beautiful and real but instead so horrifying and wrong, like bad computer animation. Then you have to go to Carlisle every year to feed the addiction to body kits, all the while seeing people with real cars (yes, they're French, but they're real cars) bonding over wine and cheese (they're talking about Citroens, and there is a wrench on the label) while you have to slink back to your automotive hobgoblin and hope that there are no real Ferarris in the Italian section, because even the most rusted out, beat and abused 308, missing a cylinder with stuffing coming out of the torn seats will top your imposter, no matter how many hours you have spent trying to make that Chevy motor have an Italian accent.

Fieros are always crack.

First nice Fiero I ever saw was an brand new Indy model driven by a gorgeous black woman dressed to the nines, in heels, and she squawked them in second driving away. Which I found more than a little hot. I don't think I've ever seen another of the Indys.

@YankBoffin: Yeah, there was also a DOHC 3.4L V6 that GM made. Apparently you can put the OHV 3.4L, the DOHC 3.4L, just about any flavor of 3.8L (including the Series III supercharged), 4.9L Caddy V8, and 5.7L V8 into a Fiero's engine bay. The OHV 3.4L is nearly plug-and-play...you just have to relocate the starter and that's supposed to be very simple.
