Well, now the "fully functional" '77 is for sale.

Yes, it says the Cool Version of Bumblebee is "fully functional" (spare us, Star Trek fans) with riveted cowl induction hood scoop, Cragars front, Eric Vaughn Real Wheels in back, Moon decal, T-grip shifter, and an eight-track player. Mileage isn't specified, but it comes with a certificate of authenticity from Bay Films, perhaps one of the few things thing that ever could. It's expected to bring between $12,000 and $15,000, which seems low. We recommend the buyer clearcoat over the rust scars and drive it every day. [Profiles In History]

<![CDATA[Bitchin' Bumblebee Costume Transforms Into Bitchin' Camaro!]]> The only thing that would've made the Bumblebee costume (pictured) from Comic-Con more cool would be if it had transformed into a Camaro. Now we've found another home-made costume that actually transforms. Head below to see the robogasmic video.

The video, from Mexico, appears to show some kind of an event at a Mexican Chevy dealership. Yup, nothing sells the Aveos like a transforming Camaro.

And, just to remind you about how awesome the Bumblebee costume we saw at Comic-Con was, here it is again.

<![CDATA[Chevy Camaro Transformers Edition: Robogasm In Plain Sight]]> Here at the San Diego Comic Con, Chevy's revealed the 2010 Camaro Transformers Special Edition. Yes, for a mere $995, you can have your very own SS or LT robogasm with all sorts of stripes and badges. Gallery below.

Full release below in the gallery.

Chevrolet announces the 2010 Camaro TRANSFORMERS Special Edition

DETROIT - Fans of the new Camaro and the blockbuster TRANSFORMERS movies can now combine their love of the car and the films with the Chevrolet Camaro TRANSFORMERS Special Edition announced today at Comic-Con in San Diego.

"When the first TRANSFORMERS movie was setting box office records, we had countless customers asking to purchase the 'BUMBLEBEE' Camaro," said Karen Rafferty, product marketing director, Chevrolet. "Now, they can buy one with the new Camaro TRANSFORMERS Special Edition. Streets all over North America will be buzzing in no time."

Features such as an EPA-rated 29 highway mpg on the V6-powered Camaro, Bluetooth phone connectivity, USB connectivity, XM Satellite Radio and OnStar combined with TRANSFORMERS design cues add to the car's status as a 21st century sports car.

"Hasbro is thrilled to team up with Chevrolet and excited to see the Camaro TRANSFORMERS Special Edition come to market for our fans to enjoy," said Samantha Lomow, Global Brand Leader for TRANSFORMERS at Hasbro. "The yellow Camaro with the black stripes has become so iconic and closely associated with the BUMBLEBEE character that this edition was a natural fit for both companies."

While the aggressive styling of the Camaro is unmistakable, true TRANSFORMERS fans will notice some of the unique, but subtle features of the Camaro TRANSFORMERS Special Edition.

The 2010 Chevrolet Camaro TRANSFORMERS Special Edition includes the following:

* AUTOBOT® shield on the driver and passenger side panels
* AUTOBOT® shield on each of the four wheel's center cap
* AUTOBOT® shield embroidered on interior center console
* "TRANSFORMERS" logo on driver and passenger doors' sill plates
* "TRANSFORMERS" logo embedded into the hood rally stripes
* High-gloss black center rally stripe package
* Manufacturer's suggested retail price of package: $995

Dealers are now taking orders for this car. Customers can order the TRANSFORMERS Special Edition as either a Rally Yellow LT or SS model. The optional RS appearance package can also be added.

The V6-powered Camaro uses a 3.6L engine with variable valve timing to optimize performance and fuel economy. It is SAE-certified at 304 horsepower (227 kW) and 273 lb.-ft. of torque (370 Nm). A six-speed manual transmission is standard with the 3.6L engine; a Hydra-Matic 6L50 electronically controlled six-speed automatic, with TAPshift control, is available.

The high-performance Camaro SS is equipped with a powerful 6.2L V-8, with a choice of a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission. Manual transmission-equipped models receive the LS3 engine, SAE-certified at 426 horsepower (318 kW) and 420 lb.-ft. of torque (569 Nm). It is paired with a TR6060 six-speed transmission.

A new, L99 V-8 engine is used on automatic transmission-equipped SS models. It is based on the LS3, but also includes GM's fuel-saving Active Fuel Management feature. It is SAE-certified at 400 horsepower (298 kW) and 410 lb.-ft. of torque (556 Nm). It is matched with a Hydra-Matic 6L80 six-speed transmission that helps delivers an EPA-estimated 25 mpg on the highway.

<![CDATA[2014 Chevy Camaro? Muscle Car Cruzes Into New CAFE Standards]]> Yes friends, this is the new "Government Motors"-designed 2014 Chevy Camaro which, according to insider groups within the bankrupt automaker, is a muscle car designed to meet the new, more stringent CAFE standards.

Okay, so we kid. Obviously this isn't the 2014 Chevy Camaro, instead a Chinese fan made this Bumblebee-inspired Chevy Cruze. With the price of a Camaro in China hovering around the $200,000 mark for a gray market import, he did the next best thing and repainted and added Bumblebee stripes. Fairly convincing, if you've never seen a Camaro that is.

<![CDATA["Bumblebee" Chevy Camaro Available To Order Starting June 1st]]> As expected, GM's announced to dealers a limited Chevy Camaro Bumblebee Edition will be available to order beginning June 1st. Production will run from June 24th through December. Expected upgrades will be only what meets the eye — rally yellow coloring, black stripes and Transformers badging inside.

Camaro5 tells us this special Transformers-badging will be on wheel centers, sill plates and embroidered console lid and the package will be available in LT or SS models. We can't wait to see one of these Bumblebee babies in the press fleet — or perhaps under one of our Hanukkah bushes at the end of the year.

<![CDATA[Bumblebee's Tarted-Up Camaro Body Spotted Clearly On Transformers 2 Set]]> We're already the first to have shown you Bumblebee's newly tarted-up aftermarket look (and again showing off that very newish nose and with Shia ), and now we're getting some better shots of his muscularly-modded bod sitting on the Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen set at White Sands Holloman AFB. We already know the look isn't any production trim level Chevy will be offering on the new Chevy Camaro, and thank goodness because it's certainly "special" looking. And — umm — that's really all there is to say about that. If you're interested, Transformers Live has some more galleries of some of the other vehicles (Optimus Prime, Ratchet and Ironhide) over there.

<![CDATA[Shia LaBeouf's Passenger During Alleged DUI-Related Accident Was Transformers 2 Co-Star Isabel Lucas]]> The name of the passenger in Shia LeBeouf's alleged DUI accident in LA this weekend wasn't initially released: Turns out it was Transformers 2 co-star and Aussie hottie Isabel Lucas. If you happen to be Shia "The Beef," and find yourself inexplicably famous after last summer's Transformers movie and this summer's horrible crap-fest Indiana Jones flick, you'd be aiming high on the lady ladder too. Oh Beef, you know Megan Fox is going to be all jealous now, stewing on the set of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. She'll probably throw herself at you, even though you never had a chance with Isabel. You sly, sly fox. [TFW2005]

<![CDATA[Transformers Star Shia LaBeouf Busted For DUI After Early Morning Accident]]> TMZ's reporting Transformers star Shia LaBeouf faces misdemeanor DUI charges after he allegedly made an unsuccessful left turn in front of another car this morning at the corner of La Brea and Fountain in Hollywood. The Ford F-150 he was driving flipped with such force Spike Witwicky's real life counterpart sustained an injury to his left hand that required him to have minor surgery. An unidentified female riding with him and the male driver of the other car sustained minor injuries. Oh, if only he'd been driving Bumblebee, he'd have been able to take over the wheel from young Shia. Wait, why wasn't Shia's trusty Camaro driving the young lad?

As you can see from the photos below taken by the Transformers fan-boys of TFW2005, Bumblebee was busy this weekend in San Diego at the Comic-Con. Oh, Prime's gonna be SO pissed!

<![CDATA[Transformers "Corvette Concept," "Z28" Bumblebee Get A Close-Up]]> Last time we saw it from afar, but now we've got the first close-up shot of what we're now told is a Corvette concept shot on the set of the new Transformers 2 movie, Revenge of the Fallen. The latest shot, posted to the Motown Muscle forum, comes with some degree of reliability given it comes with two new shots of the "Bumblebee" version of the 2010 Chevy Camaro Z28. That's right, our e-mail tipster, who also posted the shots on the forum, claims not only that this is a 2010 (or 2012) Corvette concept, but also that this isn't the "SS" Camaro, it's the Z28. Whether this mean we'd not only get a "Super Sport" package, but also a "special performance package" via a Z28 check box remains to be seen. UPDATE: We've also been told it may just be a package we can order from the folks at Saleen. But, we digress — if we're to believe the poster, both vehicles are getting some sort of paint treatment as part of work they're undergoing at the hands of Chip Foose. How the producers of the new Transformers 2 movie got Foose to step away from his work on "Foosical: The Musical" we'll never know. Hit the jump for the Camaro shots and some of our own speculation.

2010-Chevy-Camaro-Z28-front.jpg
2010-Chevy-Camaro-Z28-rear.jpg

So we're starting to think GM's decided the auto show scene isn't where they're going to capture the next generation of car lovers. Instead, they're decided — why not take the show to the people by way of the silver screen?

Other than the Detroit show, how many other shows really draw the attention of the mainstream international media? So it kind of makes sense with the shows becoming places over-crowded with product and variant reveals and under-crowded with mass media. Why not reveal a concept for the first time at a place like the Detroit Auto Show — then reveal it a few months later for the "rest of the world" on the big screen. Sure, we're speculating here — but the idea itself may actually make some sense. Of course, this could just be some really evil Decepticon — but why sully the American Revolution by making a bad guy a Chevy concept? Just sayin'...

UPDATE 2: That front end really has a very distinctly distended fourth-gen Camaro vibe to it...old Camaro concept perhaps? Does Bumblebee go bad for a short time in the movie? Just some more speculation on my part.

<![CDATA[Surprise! Chevy Trax Shows Up On Set Of Transformers 2]]>

We thought we had all the new vehicles already figured out for Michael Bay's next GM-gasm — Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Turns out there are still a few secrets to suss out as a Chevy Trax was spotted running chest to chest with the Chevy Beat moments after the the Bumblebee/Chevy Trax chase shot we saw earlier. Obviously we have no idea which robo-character this little fella will be playing — hey, maybe all the minicars will join together to form Voltron, and we'll have a crazy giant fighting robot crossover movie! (Again, thanks go out to Rueben)

The hotted up 2010 Chevy Camaro SS version of Bumblebee was snapped either running from, or leading whatever 'bot the Chevy Beat will be playing on the set of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen today in Philadelphia. Hopefully they don't run into the NYC 2009 Renault Laguna Coupe, because we're pretty sure the Renault would be a Decepticon, and nobody wants to see giant transforming robots fight. Oh wait.
