    My heart goes out to his dad and the rest of the family. As Robin Miller pointed out on Wind Tunnel last night, John went his whole racing career - on two wheels and four - without serious injury, then this happens. Sad.

    he went the way every true Jalop would love to go... doing something he loved behind the wheel at a high speed!

    I saw the video yeturday. It was the definition of a freak accident.
    Very sad and my heart goes out to the Surtees family and friends.

    This is always tragic and sad news. Especially to the family, whether it has racing legends in it or not. However, it is, in a way, better that he died pursuing his dreams and doing something he loved doing.

    I would rather go out on a race track than be hit by a drunk driver on my commute to work.

    RIP, Henry Surtees.

    I heard about this yesterday,very sad news. Racing was in his blood,R.I.P.


    His dad is a legend,still the only guy to be an F1 champ & a champ on motorbikes.

    Is James Hunt the coolest racing driver ever or what? Not only can he win races, he smokes, AND he pulls girls. I'd like to see Kubica try any of those things.

    I hate to be a nitpicker but


    "The German would spring the same trick on him next year-this time Damon prevailed and Schumacher was disqualified from the entire season."


    The next year (1995) he won the championship again, the year after that Damon won, it wasn't till '97 that he got disqualified from the season and that was for trying to ram off Villeneuve, not Hill.

    I'm sure there's something in here about an obscure form of racing that used to exist in isolated regions of Europe, but it may be the only form of automobilia that can't hold my interest over a slinky feminine form.
