Don't laugh too hard, with 800 HP and 1047 Lb-Ft, it'll rub dirt in your face all the way to 230 MPH.

As you can tell from the trashy vanity plate, there's only going to be ten of this generation of the E V12 ever made. Despite the ugliness, we find that kind of sad, the world needs more 230 MPH four-doors.

<![CDATA[800 HP Brabus E V12: Lord Vader, Your Clichéd Headline Is Ready]]> This twin-turbo Brabus E V12 uses 800 HP, 1047 Lb-Ft and 230 MPH to justify a wild bodykit, faired rear wheels and a clear hood. We bet it'd kick a CTS-V's ass around Laguna.

All that, especially the clear hood, makes the E V12 the fastest production sedan in the world. Damn, we wish this had bee around when we threw down our challenge to Bob Lutz last week.

Well, we use the term "production" lightly. While Brabus is an officially certified vehicle manufacturer and this is categorized as a unique model (despite being based on the non-AMG 2010 Mercedes E-Class), there'll only be 10 of these ever made. Still, we bet it'd spank a CTS-V around Laguna.

Press release:

BRABUS E V12 "one of ten"

The World's Most Powerful High-Performance Sedan

800 hp (788 bhp) / 588 kW, 1,420 Nm (1,047 lb-ft) and a Top Speed Over 370 km/h (230 mph)

BRABUS E V12 - The fourth E V12 generation based on the latest Mercedes E-Class once again sets new standards as the world's most powerful high-performance sedan. At the heart of this exclusive small-series-production car is the newly developed BRABUS SV12 R Biturbo 800 twelve-cylinder displacement engine.

With a rated power output of 800 hp (788 bhp) / 588 kW and a peak torque of 1,420 Nm (1,047 lb-ft) this engine catapults the four-door car from rest to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.7 seconds on its way to a top speed of over 370 km/h (230 mph). The exclusively appointed BRABUS E V12 is built in a limited "one of ten" edition and starts at 498,000 Euros MSRP.

BRABUS, recognized by the German Federal Vehicle Registration Agency (Kraftfahrtbundesamt) as a vehicle manufacturer, builds the new E V12 "one of ten" based on the reinforced body of the latest Mercedes E-Class.

The next evolutionary stage of the proven BRABUS SV 12 Biturbo displacement engine is called SV12 R Biturbo 800 and was developed specifically for this vehicle. The engine is implanted into the modified engine bay of the E-Class with almost surgical precision.

Displacement of the twelve-cylinder engine that usually powers the latest Mercedes 600 models is increased from standard 5.5 to 6.3 liters (336 to 384 cu. in.). The increase is affected with a special crankshaft with longer stroke, precision-balanced pistons rods and pistons with a larger diameter and an increased cylinder bore. The inner workings of the BRABUS engine are further modified with special sport camshafts and cylinder heads optimized for mixture flow.

Both the air intake and the BRABUS twin-turbo system were newly developed for this car. The latter features two custom manifolds with integrated high-performance turbochargers and four water-to-air intercoolers. The combustion air is provided by a carbon-fiber RAM-air intake system in the hood. In addition a high-performance exhaust system with free-flow metal catalysts was custom-developed for the platform of the new E-Class.

New engine electronics with specially programmed mapping for injection and ignition ensure not only exemplary power yield but also compliance with the strict EURO IV emission limits. The high-tech lubricants for the entire drivetrain are supplied by technology partner ARAL.

With these modifications the engine of the BRABUS E V12 "one of ten" produces an enormous power output of 800 hp (788 bhp) / 588 kW at 5,500 rpm and an even more impressive peak torque of 1,420 Nm (1,047 lb-ft), available at a low 2,100 rpm. In the car peak torque is limited electronically to 1,100 Nm (811 lb-ft).

Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a reinforced five-speed automatic transmission and a BRABUS high-performance limited-slip differential with a locking rate of 40 percent. The BRABUS E V12 comes standard with state-of-the-art driving stability programs that can be deactivated at the push of a button.

Following the tradition of the first three BRABUS E V12 sedans the 2010 edition once again delivers driving performance normally reserved for only a very few select super sports cars. The sedan, which weighs in at 1,980 kilograms (4,365 lbs), sprints from rest to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.7 seconds. After just 9.9 seconds the four-door car reaches a speed of 200 km/h (124 mph). The 300-km/h (186-mph) mark is reached after just 23.9 seconds. Top speed is more than 370 km/h (230 mph) but is limited electronically for reasons of tire safety to 350 km/h (217 mph).

This extreme performance also places highest demands on the vehicle's aerodynamic properties. The BRABUS designers went into the wind tunnel to develop a body conversion kit made from high-strength yet especially lightweight carbon fiber. It not only adds 36 millimeters (1.4 inches) to the width of the E-Class and gives it an even more striking appearance; it also minimizes aerodynamic lift on front and rear axle.

The BRABUS front was designed to replace the original apron and provides radiators and front brakes with an optimal supply of cooling air. At the same time the sophisticated shape notably reduces aerodynamic lift on the front axle.

Air vents located behind the wheel arches were integrated into the front fenders. They are also vital to the thermal health of all components in the engine bay and help vent the front wheel houses to reduce lift on the front axle.

The rocker panels route the air stream to the rear wheel arches with minimum turbulence. The rear wheel arches of the "one in ten " edition feature special cowlings called 'Speed Spads.'

The striking rear of the new BRABUS E V12 sets itself apart with the four characteristic tailpipes of the BRABUS high-performance exhaust system. Also part of the sophisticated aerodynamic-enhancement concept is the rear wing on the trunk lid and the diffuser integrated into the rear apron.

A wider track means better directional stability at high speeds. The widened fenders front and back make room for BRABUS Monoblock Q wheels in size 9.5Jx19. The high-performance tires so essential for these extreme speeds are supplied by technology partners Pirelli and YOKOHAMA. They are mounted on the front axle in size 255/35 ZR 19 and in size 285/30 ZR 19 in back.

The height-adjustable BRABUS coil-over suspension was also custom-developed for the E V12. The ride height of the suspension can be adjusted to the owner's individual preferences. But that's not all: Compression and rebound rates of the front and rear dampers can be adjusted in ten steps between very comfortable and extremely firm for use on the racetrack. Sport sway bars reduce body roll in fast corners.

The enormous performance of the BRABUS E V12 also places highest demands on the brakes. The high-performance sedan is equipped with 12-piston aluminum fixed calipers and vented and grooved steel brake discs measuring 380 x 37 millimeters (15.0 x 1.5 inches) on the front axle. The rear axle stops on six-piston aluminum fixed calipers gripping discs measuring 360 x 28 millimeters (14.2 x 1.1 inches). The BRABUS high-performance brake system incorporates all functions of the standard Brake Assist system of the Mercedes E-Class.

The interior of the car exudes a feeling of true exclusive luxury. The sporty-contoured custom front seats and the two rear individual seats are covered with a combination of Alcantara and black leather, smooth or perforated, as are dashboard, door trim and headliner. The entire vehicle floor is covered with square-patterned leather. It alone uses several miles of the finest thread, every inch of it sewn with utmost precision.

The ensemble is completed with matte-black carbon-fiber components for dashboard, center console and door panels. The BRABUS E V12 "one of ten" can be optionally equipped with a cell phone from premium manufacturer Vertu. This exclusive cell phone from the "Vertu Ascent Ti Carbon Fibre" limited edition of 1,500 phones features a titanium housing with the sides clad in black carbon fiber. This especially exclusive phone features 3G and quad-band technology as well as an integrated hands-free option, and represents state-of-the-art communication technology.

Only ten BRABUS E V12 sedans of the "one of ten" edition will be built by hand in a small-series production run. Alternatively the BRABUS E V12 is also offered in a version with 750 hp / 552 kW and a pointedly subtle bodywork without cowlings and rear wing.

The computer's integrated MP3 player can store more than 5,000 songs. The sound is carried by Sennheiser Noise Gard headphones that filter out unwanted noises for unparalleled listening enjoyment.

Maximum individuality and comfort in the interior is another specialty of the BRABUS interior designers. That includes electric curtains that provide the rear passengers with privacy. But that's not all: The list of options ranges from scuff plates with illuminated BRABUS logo to ergonomically shaped sport steering wheels to stainless-steel pedals.

Especially exclusive is the newly created BRABUS Yachting precious-wood combination of maple and tropical Wenge wood, which lends the luxury sedan a maritime ambiance. In traditional craftsmanship hundreds of individual pieces are used to recreate every piece of wood trim in the S-Class in the style of a miniature ship veneer. The combination of maple and Wenge woods features traditional open pores but is sealed according to the latest automotive guidelines.

As a stylish and perfectly crafted complement the company upholstery shop created an elegant fully leather interior in a combination of light-beige and dark-brown leather that is especially soft, breathable and extremely durable.

<![CDATA[Brabus Roadster Coupé: The Daily Driver of the Man Who Designed the McLaren F1]]> The REVA G-Wiz is tiny indeed but not very cool. How about something a hair larger but with a lot more style and power. Like maybe the Brabus Roadster Coupé.

This car is just swell. It has the proportions of a classic fastback but is shrunk down to inner city size. Compare it with a bicycle and a 3-Series BMW:

The regular version came with 82 turbocharged horses but the one you see here was given the Brabus magic to up that to 101—a full 20% increase. The car weighs in the neighborhood of 70s Japanese hatches with its 1,700 pounds, to which you add your own fat ass and distort the handling.

The only drawback is the abysmal gearbox, the same molasses-slow automatic derided by every man who has ever driven it and took to a text editor afterwards.

But still, if it’s good enough for Gordon Murray—the man who designed the Fan Car, the McLaren F1 and the Formula One championship winning Brabhams and McLarens of Piquet and Senna—it should be good for all of us.

<![CDATA[BRABUS G V12 S Biturbo: World's Most Powerful Consumer Off-Road Vehicle]]> Über-tuner BRABUS claims their Gelandewagen is the most powerful off-roader in the world — and they've got a tuned Mercedes V12 Biturbo with nearly a grand of torque under the hood as exhibit A.

Our Mercedes SUV kick since the G-Wagen turned 30 earlier this week was only extended by the RENNtech G-Wagen, a diesel concept from the German tuning haus. And now this!

The addition of the 5.5-liter V12 from the Mercedes S600 to a G-wagen by BRABUS is the sort of wild idea you'd respect but, honestly, it's nothing amazing. Mercedes tuners love swapping motors. This is why BRABUS went balls-out and bored out the cylinders and added special camfshafts and a longer stroke crank. And, If you're going to go through all the trouble of increasing the displacement to 6.3 liters you might as well throw in larger turbos and a new exhaust. The result? 690 HP @ 5100 RPM and 973 lb-ft of torque at 2100 RPM.

Basically, you've got a a massive Mercedes capable of doing a 0-62 MPH run in 4.2 seconds and dragging the Genva Motor Show to Frankfurt if necessary. The pleasure of owning one of these starts at just shy of $500,000, so this could be the New Depression-era investment you've been looking for. Full details in the press release below.

BRABUS G V12 S Biturbo with 700 hp (690 bhp) / 515 kW and 1,320 Nm (973 lb-ft)

BRABUS G V12 S Biturbo: The world's most powerful off-roader comes from BRABUS (Brabus-Allee, D-46240 Bottrop, phone + 49 / (0) 2041 / 777-0, fax + 49 / (0) 2041 / 777 111, Internet www.brabus.com). It is built by hand based on the latest Mercedes G-Class. The exclusive five-door is powered by a BRABUS SV12 S displacement engine. Like all special models of BRABUS - recognized by the German Vehicle Registration Agency as a vehicle manufacturer - the BRABUS G V12 S Biturbo comes with a comprehensive luxury package. The ultra-powerful 4x4 starts at 379,000 Euros.

The BRABUS SV12 S engine is based on the V12 Biturbo engine from the latest Mercedes S 600. Before being implanted in the engine bay of the G-Class, displacement of the three-valve engine is increased from 5.5 to 6.3 liters (336 to 384 cubic inches) using a special crankshaft with longer stroke, larger cylinders and larger bore. In addition, the cylinder heads are re-machined and fitted with special camshafts.

The engine peripherals were upgraded with larger turbochargers, an optimized intercooling system and a stainless-steel high-performance exhaust system with free-flow metal catalysts. The exahust was custom-developed for the G-Class and features dual chrome-plated tailpipes that exit in front of the rear wheels on the left and right side. New precision mapping for the engine electronics coordinate the perfect interaction of all new components. The results are an exemplary smooth-running engine and maximum power yield while meeting the strict limits set by the EURO IV emission norm.

In the G-Class the BRABUS S V12 S displacement engine produces 700 hp (690 bhp) / 515 kW at 5,100 rpm. The turbocharged twelve-cylinder engine delivers its peak torque of 1,320 Nm (973 lb-ft) at 2,100 rpm. In the car, the peak torque is electronically limited to 1,100 Nm (811 lb-ft).

The BRABUS G V12 S Biturbo offers acceleration performance almost unimaginable for a true off-roader: Combined with a special five-speed automatic transmission and permanent four-wheel drive the exclusive SUV catapults itself from rest to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.3 seconds. Top speed is limited electronically to 240 km/h (150 mph). Without the self-imposed limit the high-tech G-Class model could reach 260 km/h (163 mph).

This superior performance necessitates the use of custom-tailored BRABUS Monoblock wheels. Below the subtle fender flares is room for Monoblock light-alloy wheels with diameters between 20 and 22 inches, mounted with high-performance tires from Pirelli or YOKOHAMA. The forged BRABUS Monoblock VI 10.5Jx21 light-alloys are shod with size 295/40 R 21 tires front and back. BRABUS offers a wide selection of ten-inch wide wheels in the five different Monoblock VI, E, G, Q and S designs with a diameter of 22 inches.

For optimal handling BRABUS equips the special model G V12 S Biturbo with a comfortable custom suspension. To keep the incredible performance safely in check at all times the BRABUS high-performance brake system comes standard.

The body of the BRABUS G V12 S Biturbo is distinguished by sporty yet elegant aerodynamic-enhancement components. The BRABUS front apron with its LED daytime running lights below the main headlights lends the 4x4 an even more striking face. The rear is customized with the BRABUS rear bumper.

The BRABUS designers have developed special caps for the standard running boards of the Mercedes G-Class. They add some visual pizzazz to the G-Class and for added practicality feature integrated LED lights activated by the key fob or by opening a door. They illuminate the running boards in the dark.

The custom interior of the BRABUS G V12 S Biturbo is highly exclusive as well: It includes an ergonomically shaped sport steering wheel, a speedometer with 280-km/h scale (175 mph), stainless-steel scuff plates with illuminated BRABUS logo and a handcrafted BRABUS fully leather interior made from especially soft and breathable BRABUS Mastik leather.

Upon customer request BRABUS transforms the SUV into fully functional all-terrain office on wheels or can integrate a custom-tailored high-tech multimedia system with state-of-the-art communication technology, DVD changer, DVBT TV tuner, game console and eight-inch LCD screens in the back of the front headrests. The sound in the rear compartment is reproduced by infrared headphones.

<![CDATA[Exclusive: Details Leak On "Warp" Optioned RENNtech Mercedes SL65]]> The Cold War may be over but the ongoing battle between Mercedes-tuning shops BRABUS and RENNtech continues to heat up. We've all seen this war of HP — BRABUS releases photos of their 530 HP AMG C63. Later that day RENNtech releases their tuned 548 HP AMG C63. Next, RENNtech tunes an SLR McLaren and throws in track time. Later in the week, BRABUS tunes their SLR McLaren and throws in a tuned Smart. But it was after RENNtech tuned a GLK hybrid last week when BRABUS deigned it necessary to create a "photon torpedo gap" between the two shops — releasing a tuned Tesla Roadster earlier today on the waves of spaceship-like sounds and LED lights. Not willing to let such a gap continue, our sources tell us RENNtech's upped the ante into a new galaxy with a mysterious "warp speed" feature. Hit the jump to hear what they had to say.

The biggest feature of the BRABUS Tesla is a "space sound generator" capable of creating the sound of a V8, or if you so desire, "beam" and "warp" sounds. They are not alone. An anonymous insider close to RENNtech had this to say:

We were very surprised to see that there was another tuner working on a warp option - and they have set the bar very high for other tuners looking to compete with a warp product. The message is clear: anyone who wants to tune cars in the 21st century will need more LEDs.

As of press time we've had no confirmation of the contents of such a system, but the leaked photo above seems to point to a type of warp drive seen on early Federation ships. RENNtech would would neither confirm nor deny the use of dilithium crystals.

<![CDATA[Brabus Introduces 22-Inch Wheels For Club-Going Mercedes S and CL-Class Owners]]> If you've been waiting patiently for Brabus to "open the door to a new dimension for the latest Mercedes S-Class sedan and the CL-Class coupe" by dropping their own 22" wheels into the sparsely populated big-wheels aftermarket, today is a day for rejoicing. Not only have they unveiled the BRABUS Monoblock VI, Monoblock S, and Monoblock E wheels, they've blessed the world with new front fenders with a carbon fiber fender vent and built in LED lights. Sweet sassy molassy! Where's the nearest Mercedes dealer? We must rush out and buy an S-Class just so we can drop these tasteful and understated upgrades onto it! Press release complete with not-at-all-trite "size does matter" reference after the jump.

New for the Mercedes S-Class and CL-Class: BRABUS 22-Inch Wheels and BRABUS Aluminum Sport Fenders

Size does matter after all: With the new 22-inch BRABUS Monoblock light-alloy wheels BRABUS opens the door to a new dimension for the latest Mercedes S-Class sedan and the CL-Class coupe. The latest BRABUS development offers more than just spectacular looks; the new wheels also provide sporty handling with large safety reserves. BRABUS further refines the luxury sedan with strikingly styled sport front fenders.

Discerning automotive enthusiasts can choose from three popular BRABUS Monoblock designs. The most classic of BRABUS wheels, the BRABUS Monoblock VI light-alloy wheel with its six polished double spokes is available in this new king-size format as is the sporty- looking Monoblock S wheel styling with its five polished double spokes. The third BRABUS option in this size is the 22-inch version of the Monoblock E wheel family. It features nine strikingly styled spokes and a polished drop center.

The new 22-inch Monoblock wheels can be mounted on the luxury sedan and the exclusive coupe in size 10Jx22 front and back. The German Technical Inspection Agency (TÜV) approved high-performance tires in size 275/25 ZR 22 in front combined with size 295/25 ZR 22 tires on the rear axle. Thanks to a special tire design geared specifically towards luxury sedans and high-performance coupes, the new BRABUS tire/wheel combinations offer sporty and agile handling paired with excellent ride comfort.

To give the S-Class sedan an even more striking appearance the BRABUS designers have developed custom-tailored aluminum sport fenders that replace the production front fenders. The exclusive appearance is characterized by an air outlet made from clear-coated carbon and a horizontal brace that spans the outlet with embossed BRABUS signet and integrated LED lights. The latter are activated just like the ones in the BRABUS rocker panels via the keyless remote or by pulling on a door handle.

In addition, BRABUS offers specially calibrated suspension modules for these latest top-of-the-line complete-wheel sets. They are available in custom versions for vehicles with air suspension or with ABC active suspension. They give both sedan and coupe a sportier yet still comfortable ride, and lower the ride height by some 25 millimeters (1.0 inches).

The new large wheels naturally offer ample space for highly efficient fade-free BRABUS high-performance brake systems. Three different versions are available including a high-end brake system with 12-piston fixed aluminum calipers and vented and perforated front discs measuring 380 x 36 millimeters (15.0 x 1.4 inches). The rear axle features discs measuring 355 x 28 millimeters (14.0 x 1.1 inches) and six-piston fixed aluminum calipers.

Like all BRABUS light-alloy wheels the new 22-inch wheels are manufactured in OEM quality and represent state-of-the-art production technology.

<![CDATA[BRABUS Mercedes GLK Proves You Can't Have Too Much Of A Bland Thing]]> The 2009 Mercedes GLK is following the lead of its Sex & The City: The Movie co-stars by getting a bit of "aftermarket" enhancement, but this time it's from BRABUS and not Dr. Brabinstein. The new Mercedes compact SUV will be getting a power boost of 48HP for the line-topping 320 CDI and 15 HP for the gas-powered V6 GLK 350. BRABUS is also offering the usual assortment of upgrades including a slightly lower stance, larger wheels (21-inch, the largest they can reasonably fit), LED foglights and all manner of visual tweaks. Oh, and there are specially designed seats with incorporated DVD player/LCD screens... for speed! No word on price, but you probably don't want to know. Press release below the jump.

The BRABUS Exclusive Program for the Mercedes GLK

More power and, more importantly, more torque for more driving fun and better fuel economy: BRABUS also offers engine tuning for the GLK-Class, backed by the exemplary BRABUS Tuning Warranty of three years, up to 100,000 kilometers or 62,000 miles (see BRABUS warranty conditions as of November 2006).

For the top-of-the-line turbo diesel model GLK 320 CDI 4MATIC BRABUS offers its ECO PowerXtra D6 (III) tuning that delivers an additional 48 hp (47 bhp) / 35.3 kW and a peak torque of 590 Nm (435 lb-ft). It turns the SUV into one of the sportiest diesel models in its class. The sprint from rest to 100 km/h (62 mph) takes just 6.9 seconds, top speed is 228 km/h (142 mph). Naturally BRABUS power tuning meets the same stringent EURO IV emission limits as the production engine.

The gasoline-powered V6 model GLK 350 4MATIC equipped with BRABUS B7 power kit gains 15 hp (DIN and bhp) / 11 kW for a new rated power output of 287 hp (283 bhp) / 211.2 kW. For even more power BRABUS has developed its BRABUS 4.0 displacement engine, also available for the GLK 280 4MATIC. 332 hp (327 bhp) / 244 kW and a peak torque of 420 Nm (310 lb-ft) at 4,200 rpm provide plenty of added driving fun and excellent performance: A sprint time of just 6.1 seconds for 0-100 km/h (62 mph) and a new top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph) speak volumes.

All BRABUS engines are lubricated exclusively with ARAL high-performance motor oil. The fully stainless-steel BRABUS quad sport-exhaust systems lend all GLK models a powerful exhaust note.

Sporty design paired with aerodynamic efficiency and top-notch quality: The BRABUS designers upgrade the striking styling of the Mercedes GLK with an extensive body-components program that is manufactured in OEM quality from high-end Pur-R-Rim plastics.

The face of the SUV receives a dynamic upgrade with the BRABUS front apron. This aerodynamic-enhancement component was developed in the wind tunnel, and features daytime running lights as well as optional auxiliary high beams and fog lamps. The innovative two-piece BRABUS roof attachment with integrated LED position lights further upgrades the front of the GLK.

Homogeneously shaped BRABUS rocker panels create a perfect aerodynamic transition between front and rear wheel arches. LED lights integrated into the underside of the panels illuminate the ground on either side of the SUV for safe entering and exiting of the vehicle in the dark.

The BRABUS rear apron with centrally located reflector and cutouts left and right for the stock exhaust or the BRABUS quad sport exhaust system upgrades the SUV's rear. The new BRABUS tailpipe styling is key to the striking rear appearance of the customized SUV. The BRABUS roof spoiler with its red LED position lights left and right is attached to the lift gate.

BRABUS offers its customers a multitude of possible tire/wheel combinations for the Mercedes GLK-Class. The list ranges from Monoblock A wheels in size 8.5Jx17 with general operating certificate to 21-inch high-end versions mounted with matching high-performance tires from BRABUS technology partners Pirelli and YOKOHAMA.

The largest combination features wheels in size 9Jx21, available in various versions, from the sporty Monoblock S light-alloy wheels with five double spokes to the Monoblock E version with nine spokes and polished outer flange, to especially exclusive fully polished forged multi-piece wheels in the classic BRABUS Monoblock VI design. The largest approved tires for front and rear axle measure 255/35 R 21 in size.

For even more agile handling and a ride height lowered by some 35 millimeters (1.4 inches) BRABUS offers either sport springs or a complete suspension that offers a somewhat firmer ride than the production one.

Exclusive interior design has always been a special strength of BRABUS. The extensive program also offers owners of a Mercedes GLK countless individual options.

The range of available BRABUS accessories includes stainless-steel scuff plates with illuminated BRABUS logo, various versions of an ergonomically shaped sport steering wheel, and even interior trim sets made from high-quality woods with various grains or from genuine carbon fiber. In order to transform the rear cabin of the GLK into a multimedia lounge the BRABUS interior designers have developed special BRABUS consoles for the seatbacks of the front seats. Each of the precisely fitting consoles includes a 7-inch LCD screen and an integrated DVD player.

The company-own BRABUS upholstery shop fulfills customers' customization requests in any desired color and with a wide variety of exquisite materials and numerous upholstery designs. With meticulous precision the specialists create superb interiors custom-tailored to the individual customers' preferences.

<![CDATA[Brabus B63 S Package Takes Mercedes C63 AMG To 530 HP]]> It's Mercedes C63 AMG tuning season around these parts, as we now bring you the Brabus B63 S to complement yesterday's RENNtech version. So what hath the Brabus folks wrought? It's not quite RENNtech output, but by adding free-flow catalytic converters, high-flow air filters and tweaking the ECU with new ignition and injection maps, Brabus bumps the 6.2-liter V8 from 457 HP to 530 HP, sends torque from 442 to 479 lb-ft and gives you enough to propel the newly tuned beast to a top speed of 197 MPH. Should you need more, Brabus also offers a selection of fine limited slip differentials to satisfy the most discerning tuning connoisseur; match one up with a similarly varied selection of multi-piston brake upgrades to achieve your desired level of "whoa." Full release after the jump.

BRABUS B63 S
550 hp / 404 kW and a Top Speed of up to 330 km/h for all Mercedes 63 AMG Models

Even more power for all Mercedes 63 AMG models: BRABUS presents its B63 S engine tuning, which boosts power output of the high-revving 6.2-liter V8 to 550 hp / 404 kW and peak torque to 650 Nm. With a sprint time from rest to 100 km/h of just 4.3 seconds and a top speed of 330 km/h a CLS 63 AMG with B63 S tuning turns in performance worthy of a true super sports car.

The BRABUS power kit comprises newly programmed engine electronics with special mapping for injection and ignition. But that's not all: The intake side features a sport air filter for improved supply of combustion air. The exhaust side features high-performance metal catalysts with low back pressure that also ensure that the tuned V8 engine meets stringent EURO IV emission limits.

In order to transfer the increased power to the road with minimum slip BRABUS recommends the BRABUS locking differential for all Mercedes 63 models with rear wheel drive. The diff lock has a locking rate of up to 40 percent.

The BRABUS B63 S performance kit is available for all Mercedes 63 AMG models. With 550 hp / 404 kW the ML 63 accelerates in 4.9 seconds from 0 -100 km/h and reaches a top speed of 275 km/h in combination with the BRABUS V/max unit.

This extraordinary performance represents a good argument for modifications to tires, suspension and brakes. Depending on the Mercedes 63 AMG model in question BRABUS offers custom-tailored tire/wheel combinations up to size 11Jx23 with tires up to 315/25 R 23 in size. To further improve the already excellent handling characteristics BRABUS has developed a control module for the ABC suspensions that lowers the ride height by some 20 millimeters. BRABUS sport stabilizers reduce body roll and optimize turn-in.

The BRABUS high-performance brake system offers stopping power and endurance normally only found in purebred sports cars. It is available for all Mercedes 63 AMG models, upon customer request even in a special version with ceramic discs. The front axle features 380 x 36 millimeter discs and 12-piston aluminum fixed calipers. The rear axle is fitted with six-piston fixed calipers and 355 x 28 mm brake discs.

The list of BRABUS exclusive interior accessories ranges from genuine carbon-fiber trim and scuff plates with illuminated BRABUS logo to ergonomically shaped sport steering wheels and a speedometer with 360-km/h dial.

Upon customer request the company-own upholstery shop crafts especially exclusive BRABUS interiors from a combination of especially soft yet highly durable BRABUS Mastik leather and Alcantara.

<![CDATA[Brabus SLR Roadster Spotted In London]]> The fanboys over at Autogespot were awfully excited to spot this Brabus SLR McLaren Roadster in London; apparently, it's the first of its kind. Power is up from 626 to 650 HP, dropping the 0-62 mph time to 3.6 seconds and raising the top speed to 209 mph. While we're not that impressed by the limited performance boost, we're relieved to see that the owner had enough taste to keep the standard propeller-like 19-inch rims instead of opting for the 20-inch Brabus Monoblocks. We also find the white paint paired with the red top and interior strangely alluring, somehow lending the SLR's bulbous, awkward body a touch of class.

<![CDATA[Brabus Bullit Black Arrow Finally Goes On Sale, Takes Mercedes C-Class To The Extreme]]> No, that's not Darth Vader. Nope, it's the Brabus Bullit Black Arrow and trust us, it's got more in common with Vader than the Mustang variant with the same name. We showed you the new Brabus-built C-Class first back at the Frankfurt Auto Show a couple months ago, but now the Deutsch tuners of all things Daimler have just revealed that their newest Übermensch-motored Mercedes is now available for purchase in an orgasm of Bruce (don't believe us? Check the press release out yourself). If you remember, the Bullit Black Arrow gets a SV12 S Biturbo twelve-cylinder engine dropped into the engine bay to replace the normal highest-end 6.2-liter V8 engine from the C-Class. That newer, faster, stronger engine gives the Bullit Black Arrow 720 HP (SAE net) and an astonishing 974 lb-ft of torque — and 0-to-186 mph in 24.5 seconds. Oh but wait, we're talking a top speed of 225 MPH. Sounds to us like some automaker wants to make sure that the 556 HP 2009 Cadillac CTS-V doesn't take all the glory from the four-door race for the highest-speed four-door sedan. Full press release after the jump.

BRABUS BULLIT BLACK ARROW The Four-Door V12 Biturbo Stealth Super Sports Car With 730 hp (720 hp SAE net), 1,320 Nm (974 lb-ft), 0 - 300 km/h (186 mph) in 24.5 seconds and a Top Speed of More than 360 km/h (225 mph)

Ultra powerful, ultra fast and conspicuously inconspicuous: The four-door stealth super sports car BRABUS BULLIT BLACK ARROW offers performance superlatives like no other car on the market: The basis for the car is the body of the new C-Class sedan, covered with a special matte-black coating. The BRABUS SV12 S Biturbo twelve-cylinder engine was dropped into the engine bay with almost surgical precision. Performance is staggering: 3.9 seconds from rest to 100 km/h (62 mph), 24.5 seconds for 0 - 300 km/h (186 mph) and a top speed of more than 360 km/h (225 mph). BRABUS produces the BULLIT BLACK ARROW in small-series production starting at 348,000 Euros MSRP.

The BRABUS BULLIT BLACK ARROW ensures that the world's fastest sedans continue to come from Bottrop. The BRABUS BULLIT BLACK ARROW follows in the footsteps of the 330-km/h (206 mph) BRABUS E V12 based on the W 210-series Mercedes E-Class, the 350.2-km/h (219 mph) E V12 Biturbo of the new W 211 generation and the world's current fastest sedan, the 365.7- km/h (227.2 mph) BRABUS ROCKET based on the Mercedes CLS.

Numerous modifications to the reinforced body were necessary to install the turbocharged V12 engine in the C-Class engine bay. The BRABUS SV12 S Biturbo engine is derived directly from the BRABUS ROCKET and uses the latest Mercedes S 600 engine that has been completely reworked in the company-own engine building shop.

Nothing beats displacement except even more displacement: A crankshaft with longer stroke, larger cylinder bore, and special pistons and piston rods increase displacement of the twelve-cylinder three-valve engine from 5.5 to 6.3 liters (336 to 385 cu. in.).

Cylinder heads optimized for faster gas exchange and high-performance camshafts also contribute to the increase in power output. They are assisted by a more efficient dual turbocharging system, special manifolds, larger turbochargers and larger intercoolers. Because of space constraints in the C-Class body an entirely new stainless-steel high-performance exhaust system with low back-pressure metal catalysts had to be developed.

The BRABUS motor engineers used state-of-the-art engine test benches to program new mapping for engine electronics and on-board diagnostics. The new mapping ensures optimal power yield while meeting strict EURO IV emission limits.

The BRABUS SV12 S Biturbo displacement engine, lubricated like all BRABUS high-performance engines with ARAL Synthetic motor oil, produces 730 hp (720 hp SAE net) / 537 kW at just 5,100 rpm. The peak torque of 1,320 Nm (974 lb-ft) is limited in-car electronically to 1,100 Nm (811 lb-ft).

Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a reinforced five-speed automatic transmission and a BRABUS limited-slip differential with a locking rate of 40 percent. Customers can choose from two final drive ratios. The BRABUS BULLIT BLACK ARROW features all modern driving dynamics systems such as ABS, ASR and ESP.

The matte-black stealth street rocket delivers unique performance: Just 3.9 seconds pass for the sprint from 0 - 100 km/h (62 mph), 200 km/h (124 mph) is reached after just 10.49 seconds. And after just 24.5 seconds the car shatters the 300-km/h barrier (186 mph). Top speed is more than 360 km/h (225 mph).

At these speeds favorable aerodynamic properties are absolutely essential. The BRABUS BULLIT BLACK ARROW was honed to perfection in the wind tunnel. The BULLIT front apron features large air ducts to supply cooling air for radiators and front brakes. Its sophisticated design further reduces lift on the front axle. Its aerodynamic counterparts in the rear are a three-piece rear spoiler and a rear apron with integrated diffuser. Both front and rear aprons are made from especially light yet highly robust autoclave-baked carbon fiber.

A wider track optimizes directional stability so elementary at speeds beyond 300 km/h. The BRABUS designers have styled aluminum wheel arch flares for front and rear axle. They are seamlessly melded to the production body and add six centimeters (2.4 inches) to the C-Class width. BRABUS rocker panels optimize the airstream along the sides. They also feature integrated entry lights that make entering and exiting the vehicle safer in the dark.

The visual appearance of the BRABUS BULLIT BLACK ARROW is further characterized by the new hood. Its integrated 'gills' are not just distinctive features, they also ensure the engine's thermal health.

The wheel arch flares provide space for especially wide matte-black BRABUS Monoblock S light-alloy wheels with high-performance tires from technology partners YOKOHAMA or Pirelli. The 9.5Jx19 wheels on the front axle are shod with size 265/30 ZR 19 tires. The rear axle is fitted with size 10Jx19 wheels and size 285/30 ZR 19 tires.

The height-adjustable coil-over suspension was developed specifically for the BRABUS BULLIT BLACK ARROW. The gas-pressure shocks feature ten selectable settings each for bound and rebound. They provide a sporty yet comfortable ride and safe handling in any situation. Sport stabilizers reduces body roll to a minimum during fast cornering.

The BRABUS high-performance brake system can handle even the most extreme stress. It features 12-piston aluminum fixed calipers on the front axle that grip vented and grooved 380 x 37 millimeter (15 x 1.46 inches) brake discs. The rear axle stops with 360 x 28 millimeter (14.2 x 1.1 inches) discs and six-piston aluminum fixed calipers.

Exclusive individuality also abounds in the interior of the BRABUS automobile: The standard equipment package includes a fully leather interior hand-crafted in the company-own upholstery shop from the finest Mastik and Nubuk leathers.

The custom BULLIT seats offer a perfect combination of comfort and lateral support. Their carbon-fiber rear covers lend the interior an especially sporty feel. This look is complemented by carbon-fiber components on dashboard, center console and door panels as well as by the ergonomically shaped sport steering wheel and aluminum pedals and shifter.

<![CDATA[2009 BRABUS S V12 S Hauls Ess El]]> Is there anything that the whacky tuners at BRABUS won't put a V12 into? Our favorite has to be the BRABUS Bullit Black Arrow which is V12 + C-Class + matte black paint. Though, we also love the SLR McLaren + Smart Car combo. And who can forget the S V12 S-equipped Brabus Maybach 57, which hit 205 mph at Nardo? By comparison, tweaking the already V12-equipped Mercedes-Benz SL seems like a no brainer.

Advance pics and details from eMercedesbenz show a look similar to previous BRABUS SL's, though with slightly revised front/rear aprons and side skirts, as well as new wheels. There's no word yet on the revised power, though the previous generation was good for 730 hp, enough power for a 0-62 mph trip in 4 seconds and a top speed in the 217 mph range. [eMercedesBenz]

<![CDATA[BRABUS Bullit Black Arrow Is Blacker Than Ever]]> BRABUS introduced the wicked Brabus Bullit V12-powered C-Class sleeper at Frankfurt last year and, not wanting to let floor space go to waste, has introduced the follow up Black Arrow. Like the previous Bullit, the sedan still sports the 6.3-Liter V12 Biturbo engine good for 720 horsepower and 974 ft.-lbs. of torque (though limited to just 811 ft.-lbs. to keep the car in one piece). It'll still jog to 62 mph in just 3.9 second. And it still has a top speed of 224 mph. The difference? It's freaking matte black. Matte black is the new black, or something. Either way, for just $530,000 you could have the matte blackest Benz on the block. Press release and more pics below.

The Four-Door V12 Biturbo Stealth Super Sports Car With 730 hp (720 hp SAE net), 1,320 Nm (974 lb-ft), 0 - 300 km/h (186 mph) in 24.5 seconds and a Top Speed of More than 360 km/h (225 mph)

BRABUS (Brabus-Allee, D-46240 Bottrop, phone + 49 / (0) 2041 / 777-0, fax + 49 / (0) 2041 / 777 111, Internet www.brabus.com) produces the BULLIT BLACK ARROW in small-series production starting at 348,000 Euros MSRP.

The visual appearance of the BRABUS BULLIT BLACK ARROW is further characterized by the new aluminum hood.

<![CDATA[What Is Your Ideal Pair Of Vehicles?]]> BRABUS got us thinking about pairs with their SLR McLaren and Smart package deal. How great would it be to get vehicles custom matched to fill various needs in your life? Even better, what about cars matched to fulfill your various automotive desires? One of our favorite actual pairings has to be the Bluebird RV with matching Mercedes SLK (now that's a bail out vehicle). It's not something automakers or tuners do very often, given the implicit cost. I think our ideal combination would be the Unimog-based Unicat paired with a roof-mounted Rinspeed Bedouin. But that's us.

What's your ideal pair of vehicles? Real or imagined.

<![CDATA[BRABUS SLR McLaren Roadster, Matching Smart ULTIMATE 112: Because Rich People Love Accessories]]> Like Turner and Hootch, Tango and Cash, Gary Busey and a bottle of scotch, Mercedes-tuner BRABUS has put together a winning pair for the Geneva Motor Show. This time it's a Mercedes SLR McLaren and a Smart Fortwo. The SLR McLaren gets a new white carbon fiber bodykit, 20-inch alloy wheels, special interior and an upgrade to the 5.5 Liter supercharged V8 that boots power to 650 hp and helps propel the roadster to a top speed of 211 mph. The matching Smart becomes the ULTIMATE 112, referring to the increase in power to 112 horsepower at 5,600 rpm. The Smart also gets a matching exterior treatment along with the lipstick-red BRABUS Mastik letaher interior and black Alcantara touches. Though sold separately, we think they're a steal when purchased for the package price of $1,062,000. More pics and press release below.

Press Release

An idea from yacht design finds its way into the automotive world: The SLR McLaren roadster BRABUS and its "Tender for the City," the ultimate city sports car BRABUS ULTIMATE 112, both with absolutely identical paint and equipment. BRABUS offers both exclusive speedsters with special snow-white paint for a package price of 699,000 Euros; a very special offer from BRABUS for all owners of an SLR or Maybach.

The sportiest drop-top Mercedes of all time, the SLR McLaren Roadster, is fitted by BRABUS with more than just a top-quality white carbon-fiber skin. The exterior is treated to an aerodynamics update, engine tuning and custom-tailored 20-inch wheels further optimize handling and performance, and the interior adds even more touches of exclusivity.

To give the SLR even better looks while at the same time reducing lift on the front axle the BRABUS designers have developed a front spoiler that is attached to the stock bumper. This aerodynamics component was optimized in the wind tunnel. It is made from exposed carbon fiber, making it especially light and extremely robust. The rear apron is upgraded with a BRABUS diffuser also made from exposed carbon fiber. It replaces its production counterpart.

The sportier appearance of the SLR Roadster is further characterized by the BRABUS Monoblock VI 20-inch Platinum Edition wheels that fill out the wheel arches perfectly. The fully polished three-piece wheels with six double spokes are mounted on the sports car in size 9.5Jx20 in front and in size 11.5Jx20 on the rear axle. Thanks to their high-tech design that features a forged aluminum rim and a billet aluminum center the BRABUS 20-inch wheels are lighter than the 19-inch turbine-design wheels optionally available for the SLR ex factory.

High-performance tires in sizes 255/30 ZR 20 and 305/25 ZR 20 are supplied by BRABUS technology partners Pirelli and YOKOMAMA. The tire/wheel combination is custom-tailored for SLR coupe and roadster, and has more than just a visual effect: handling benefits from the switch to even lower aspect ratio tires and the lower rim weight.

Thus equipped the drop-top SLR is fit for BRABUS engine tuning. The tuning kit for the 5.5-liter supercharged engine consists of special camshafts and a fuel-cooling system. Power output increases by 24 hp / 18 kW to 650 hp (641 hp SAE net) / 478 kW at 6,500 rpm.

BRABUS also offers a special clutch-type limited-slip differential with a locking rate of 40 percent for the SLR. It optimizes traction and thus acceleration performance further: The tuned SLR Roadster rockets from rest to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 337 km/h (211 mph).

Exclusive BRABUS cockpit design is characterized by precision handwork down to the last detail. The company-own upholstery shop created a striking combination of lipstick-red leather and black Alcantara. The waffle-pattern stitching of the SLR leather footwells alone - a special BRABUS exclusive - uses some 7,800 meters of the finest red thread.

The BRABUS sport steering wheel for the SLR is a sporty and highly functional BRABUS option. The wheel has a flattened bottom for easier entering and exiting and provides optimal grip with its combination of perforated leather and Alcantara. The BRABUS steering wheel features buttons integrated into the spokes for manually shifting the gears of the SLR's automatic transmission without taking the hands off the wheel.

Sporty BRABUS carbon-fiber applications for dashboard, center console and door trim transfer the racing look of the BRABUS exterior components into the interior. The interior components are made from exposed carbon-fiber and can be color-coordinated with the leather color upon customer request.

The "tender to the SLR" in the white BRABUS fleet is the BRABUS ULTIMATE 112. It represents the ideal complement for city driving. The drop-top two-seater is built based on the latest smart fortwo Cabrio.

In addition to its special paint identical to the SLR the ultimate city sports car features a muscular body kit with front spoiler, rocker panels and BRABUS WIDESTAR fender flares front and back.

The larger wheel arches provide space for a tire/wheel combination that for this class of cars is highly unusual. The liquid-white BRABUS Monoblock VI double-spoke wheels are mounted on the front axle in size 7Jx18 with size 205/35 R 18 high-performance tires. 8.5Jx18 wheels with size 235/30 R 18 tires on the rear axle provide slip-free traction for the 112 horses under the hood.

The height-adjustable BRABUS coil-over suspension is specially calibrated to the ultra-low profile tires and the wider track. It combines direct, safe and sporty handling with excellent ride comfort.

With these modifications the ULTIMATE 112 offers the perfect platform for the powerful BRABUS three-cylinder turbo engine. It produces a maximum power output of 112 hp (110 hp SAE net) / 82.4 kW at 5,600 rpm. Even more important for everyday driving is the peak torque of 150 Nm, available on a plateau from 3,330 to 3,900 rpm, an exceptional figure for a car in its class.

Shifting in the BRABUS ULTIMATE 112 is done either automatically or the sporty F1 way with shift paddles on the ergonomically shaped BRABUS sport steering wheel.

With sprint times from 0 - 60 km/h (38 mph) of 3.9 seconds, 9.5 seconds to 100 km/h (62 mph) and an electronically limited top speed of 170 km/h (106 mph) the snow-white roadster is the ultimate city sports car and thus the optimal "tender to the SLR."

The car's performance is accompanied acoustically by the sounds of the BRABUS stainless-steel sport exhaust with its characteristic dual cast aluminum tailpipes.

Exquisite highlights also abound in the interior of the ULTIMATE 112: Like its big brother its interior is upholstered in a combination of especially soft and breathable lipstick-red BRABUS Mastik leather and black Alcantara.

Embossed BRABUS emblems are part of the exclusive concept as are accents such as speedometer, tach and clock, instrument bezels, dashboard trim, turn signal lever and door handles, all color-coordinated with the exterior color. Stainless-steel foot pedals with rubber pads and an aluminum shifter and emergency brake lever add a bit of racing atmosphere.

Climate control system, radio and a navigation system for quick navigating in the city are also part of the two-seater's standard equipment package.

Both vehicles in the white BRABUS fleet are available as a package or separately. Customers can freely choose their personal exterior and interior colors.

<![CDATA[Mercedes E 300 BLUETEC Turbodiesel Gets A BRABUS Boost]]> Does your BLUETEC E-Class Benz not give you quite the power you were hoping for? Does 400 lb.-ft. of torque leave you cold inside? BRABUS, tuner of all things Mercedes, might have an answer to your uniquely affluent problems. A new upgrade from BRABUS boosts power by 47 horsepower and about 50 lb.-ft. of torque, to 258 and 450, respectively. Besides a lot of power for just over $2,500 (body kit extra), the new modification also meets EURO V emissions standards and is backed by a three year/62,000 mile warranty. The company also offers an E 320 BLUETEC kit for oil-burning yanks. Pics and press release below the jump.

Clean Power with EURO V:
BRABUS PowerXtra D6 BLUE Power Kit for the E 300 BLUETEC

A powerful engine and exemplary environmental friendliness are not mutually exclusive: The motor engineers of BRABUS (Brabus-Allee, D-46240 Bottrop, phone + 49 / (0) 2041 / 777-0, fax + 49 / (0) 2041 / 777 111, Internet www.brabus.com) have developed the BRABUS PowerXtra D6 BLUE performance kit for the new Mercedes E 300 BLUETEC. It boosts power output of the cleanest diesel car on the market by 47 hp / 35 kW. The new BRABUS tuning technology makes BRABUS the first automobile tuner to meet ultra-stringent EURO V exhaust limits which won't go into effect until 2011. The Mercedes E 300 BLUETEC with BRABUS PowerXtra D6 BLUE tuning stayed below permissible exhaust limits of EURO V by up to 65 percent.

Powerful and clean tuning for diesel engines is a long BRABUS tradition. The BRABUS E V8 Diesel from 2001 was the first diesel car ever to be equipped with a particulate filter. It met today's EURO IV emission limits even long before they became law.

Using state-of-the-art test-bench technology in the company-own R&D center the BRABUS development team has developed a special auxiliary module for the electronic engine management system of the E 300 BLUETEC. BRABUS mapping is specifically calibrated to the environmentally friendly BLUETEC concept that features an oxidation catalyst, particulate filter and BLUETEC SCR catalyst.

After the conversion operation, which any authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer can perform, the engine produces 258 hp (255 hp SAE net) / 190 kW at 3,700 rpm. The engine's torque grows by a healthy amount as well: Between 1,600 and 2,400 rpm the torque curve reaches a new high of 610 Nm (450 lb-ft), up from standard 540 Nm (398 lb-ft). Thus powered the BRABUS-tuned car sprints from rest to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 6.8 seconds and reaches an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).

In everyday driving the 3-liter V6 engine with BRABUS D6 BLUE kit harmonizes perfectly with the seven-speed automatic gearbox. The engine delivers excellent performance with even further improved pulling power from low engine speeds, which benefits overall fuel economy. Despite the improved performance fuel consumption remains on the low level of the production car.

The BRABUS PowerXtra D6 BLUE power kit for the E 300 BLUETEC is available for 1,790 Euros MSRP. Like all BRABUS components the kit is backed by the one-of-a-kind BRABUS Tuning Warranty® of three years, up to 100,000 kilometers or 62,000 miles (see BRABUS warranty conditions as of November 2006). BRABUS also offers a power kit for the E320 BLUETEC model available in the USA and Canada.

An efficient complement to the BRABUS D6 BLUE power kit is the BRABUS sport exhaust system with four polished tailpipes. The fully stainless-steel exhaust system lends the common-rail diesel engine a throatier exhaust note and optimizes power yield.

To add sporty emphasis to the elegant lines of the W 211-series E-Class the BRABUS designers have developed a sporty aerodynamic-enhancement kit, manufactured from Pur-R-Rim in OEM quality.

BRABUS one-piece and multi-piece light-alloy wheels for the E 300 BLUETEC are available in four different designs and in sizes ranging from 8.5Jx17 to 10.5Jx20. The optimal tires in any size come from technology partners Pirelli and YOKOHAMA, up to the largest possible tire sizes for the E-Class, size 245/30 ZR 20 in front and 295/25 ZR 20 on the rear axle.

Also available for the E-Class sedan are custom-tailored BRABUS suspension solutions such as lowering modules, sporty yet comfortable complete suspensions, a special control module for the optional air suspension, and sport stabilizers that reduce body roll during cornering.

BRABUS high-performance brake systems for the Mercedes E-Class are available in three different versions.

Another BRABUS specialty is the creation of luxurious customized interiors. The range of products includes stainless-steel scuff plates with illuminated BRABUS logo, various types of ergonomically shaped sport steering wheels, and even an exclusive BRABUS interior crafted from a combination of especially soft yet durable BRABUS Mastik leather and Alcantara.

<![CDATA[Brabus Gives the Mercedes GL a Wide Stance]]> Not known for subtlety, the boys and girls at Brabus have taken the standard GL-Class Mercedes Benz, which was already a decently mean looking ride, and have touched it up in a way that reminds us why the French built the Maginot Line. The first thing you notice is the giganto-style aesthetic, which includes wider finder flares, a new front apron with angry air inlets and three-piece, 23-in wheels. In GL 500 form, the modified beast gets 456 hp with 454 lb-ft of torque, good enough for a 0-62 mph sprint in just 6.0 seconds and a top speed of 158 mph. What country would you use it to take over? Press release below:

BRABUS WIDESTAR Based on Mercedes GL-Class

Exclusive Wide Version and Tuning With up to 462 hp (456 hp SAE net) / 340 kW

Muscular fender flares front and back, giant 23-inch wheels and a striking face with large air dams and four auxiliary headlights: In a world premiere BRABUS (Brabus-Allee, D-46240 Bottrop, phone + 49 / (0) 2041 / 777-0, fax + 49 / (0) 2041 / 777 111, Internet www.brabus.com) presents the 2007 WIDESTAR wide version for the Mercedes GL-Class.

The elegant sweeping lines of the fender flares add five centimeters (two inches) to the width of the large SUV. The corresponding rocker panels have more than just visual effect; they also facilitate entering and exiting of the vehicle in the dark with their integrated entrance lights.

The BRABUS WIDESTAR front apron maximizes the supply of cooling air for radiators and front brakes. It also improves active safety with auxiliary high beams and fog lamps as well as by reducing aerodynamic lift.

The rear of the WIDESTAR is characterized by a roof spoiler and a rear apron custom-tailored to the wider fenders. The diffuser integrated into the bumper and the precise-fit cutouts for the four tailpipes of the BRABUS stainless-steel sport exhaust system document loving attention to detail.

All BRABUS body components are manufactured from Pur-R-Rim in OEM quality, guaranteeing optimal precise fit and ensuring that the components are easy to paint.

The BRABUS WIDESTAR also creates space for extreme tire sizes. The most exclusive version features three-piece BRABUS Monoblock E 11Jx23 wheels. These nine-spoke wheels have a forged, highly polished drop center and can be fitted with Pirelli or YOKOHAMA high-performance street tires up to size 305/35 R 23.

The BRABUS WIDESTAR can also be equipped with forged 21-inch Monoblock VI wheels or 22-inch wheels from the Monoblock VI, E or S design families.

The wide version looks best in combination with ride-height lowering. BRABUS lowers the GL-Class by some 30 millimeters (1.18 inches) with a custom module for the AIRMATIC air suspension. This measure benefits the vehicle's overall appearance and further improves safe and sporty on-road handling by lowering the center of gravity.

For further improved active safety BRABUS offers various versions of its high-performance brake systems. The largest version features 12-piston aluminum fixed calipers and vented and cross-drilled 380 x 36 millimeter ( 15.0 x 1.42 inches) discs on the front axle. The rear axle is fitted with six-piston fixed calipers.

The powerful stance of the WIDESTAR all but demands a more powerful engine. BRABUS offers performance tuning for all GL models. The one-of-kind BRABUS Tuning Warranty® of three years, up to 100,000 kilometers (see BRABUS warranty conditions as of November 2006) also covers all engine conversions.

BRABUS Power Xtra tuning kits are available for the especially popular common-rail turbodiesel engines. They produce more power while at the same time meeting stringent Euro IV emission limits.

The BRABUS D6 (III) module increases maximum power output of the GL 320 CDI to 272 hp (268 hp SAE net) / 200 kW and a peak torque of 590 Nm (435 lb-ft) at just 1,600 rpm.

Equipped with BRABUS PowerXtra D8 (III) tuning, rated power output of the GL 420 CDI jumps from standard 306 hp (302 hp SAE net) / 225 kW to 350 hp (345 hp SAE net) / 257 kW at just 3,800 rpm. Simultaneously peak torque grows from 700 Nm to 800 Nm (516 to 590 lb-ft). Performance is on a correspondingly high level: The BRABUS-tuned GL 420 CDI sprints from 0 - 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 7.1 seconds, half a second faster than the production car. Top speed grows from 230 to 240 km/h (143 to 149 mph).

For the V8 gasoline models GL 450 and GL 500 BRABUS offers its 6.1 displacement engine as the most powerful version. It delivers 462 hp (456 hp SAE net) / 340 kW of power and a peak torque of 615 Nm (454 lb-ft). Equipped with this engine the 4x4 accelerates from 0 - 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 6.0 seconds and reaches a top speed of 255 km/h (158 mph).

All BRABUS engines are lubricated exclusively with ARAL high-performance motor oil.

Individual exclusivity is also the guiding BRABUS principle when it comes to customizing the GL-Class interior. The company-own upholstery shop transforms customers' individual selections into masterfully crafted fully leather interiors made from especially soft and breathable Mastik and Alcantara leathers.

The BRABUS product lineup further includes numerous attractive cockpit accessories. They range from stainless-steel scuff plates with illuminated BRABUS logo to sporty aluminum components such as foot pedals and door-lock pins to an ergonomically shaped sport steering wheel.

Multimedia on wheels is yet another BRABUS specialty. Custom-built seat consoles for the back of the front seats house a seven-inch LCD screen and a DVD player. These consoles are also available with an integrated powered tabletop.

The multimedia package can be expanded further with larger screens that deploy from the headliner, with an on-board computer with Internet connectivity, and with an MP3 player that stores more than 5,000 songs.

<![CDATA[Brabus-Tuned Maybach 57 Hits 205 mph in Nardo]]> There's a record for everything, though not every one gets equal weight among the record watchers. Take, for example, the title of Fastest and Most Exclusive Luxury Sedan. Show up at the Guinness doorstep with that belt, and they'll send you packing along with the guy sporting the world's largest buttocks-region carbuncle. Nonetheless, Mercedes tuning shop Brabus is still proud of its latest Maybach tweaker, a 57 that hit 205.2 mph on Italy's Nardo test track this week. Under the long, Maybachian bonnet is the same 730-horsepower 6.3-liter biturbo powerplant developed for the Brabus Rocket Mercedes CLS, which hit 227 mph on Nardo a year ago this month. What's more, adrenalin-addicted plutocrats can be transported to the M&A negotiations in style, swaddled in an interior of lambs' wool, Alcantara and an organic polymer made from a blend of Lemur penis and the downy fluff of newborn oven-stuffer roasters. Or something.

Press Release: World Record of 330.6 km/h (205.2 mph) Set in Nardo The Maybach 57 with BRABUS SV12 S Biturbo Engine The World's Fastest and Most Exclusive Ultra-Luxury Sedan

A world-record speed of 330.6 km/h (205.2 mph) set on the high-speed test track in Nardo, Italy; BRABUS added to its extensive collection of automotive records with a Maybach 57 powered by a 730-hp (720 hp SAE net) / 537-kW BRABUS SV12 S Biturbo engine. It is the world's fastest and most exclusive ultra-luxury sedan. The BRABUS engineers and test drivers bested their own record set in 2005 when a Maybach 57 powered by a BRABUS SV12 Biturbo engine with 640 hp (631 hp SAE net) / 471 kW was clocked at 314 km/h (195 mph).

The SV12 S Biturbo evolution of the 6.3-liter displacement engine was originally developed for the BRABUS ROCKET, the four-door car based on the Mercedes CLS series. In October of 2006 it set a speed record for street-legal sedans of 365.7 km/h (227.2 mph), a record that still stands today.

For power increase of the turbocharged Maybach 12-cylinder engine from standard 550 hp (543 hp SAE net) / 405 kW to 730 hp (720 hp SAE net) / 537 kW BRABUS followed its tradition of increasing engine displacement. The BRABUS engineers developed a special crankshaft with longer stroke, precision-balanced piston rods and larger pistons to account for the increased cylinder bore. Displacement grows from standard 5.5 to 6.3 liters (335 to 385 cu. in.).

The inner workings of the engine are modified with precision-machined cylinder heads and special camshafts. The engine peripherals are tuned for more power with the help of a high-performance turbocharging system with special manifolds, two larger turbochargers, more efficient intercoolers, and a stainless-steel high-performance exhaust system with metal catalysts.

Custom-programmed engine electronics coordinate the perfect interaction of all high-performance components and ensure that the engine meets stringent EURO IV emission limits. The standard 250-km/h (155 mph) speed limit is also eliminated. The peak torque of 1,320 Nm (974 lb-ft) is limited by the engine electronics to 1,100 Nm (811 lb-ft).

The enormous power of the BRABUS SV12 S Biturbo engine is transferred to the rear wheels via a reinforced five-speed automatic transmission. For the lubrication of the entire drivetrain BRABUS relies exclusively on ARAL high-performance lubricants.

The top speed of 330.2 km/h (205.2 mph) places enormous demands on tires and wheels. The BRABUS suspension engineers developed forged 21-inch BRABUS Monoblock VI light-alloy wheels specifically for the Maybach. The fully polished multi-piece wheels with six double spokes perfectly fill the space beneath the wheel arches. They are mounted in size 9.0Jx21 in front with size 275/40 R 21 tires, and in size 10.5Jx21 with size 315/35 R 21 tires on the rear axle.

For further increased driving safety the BRABUS air-suspension module lowers the ride height by some 15 millimeters (0.6 inches) without compromising the unique ride comfort.

BRABUS refines the elegant lines of Maybach not just with a lowered ride height and with large wheels. The front of the sedan can be upgraded with two auxiliary headlights that serve as daytime running lights. They are stylishly integrated into the production front apron.

Exclusive BRABUS light design is also available for the sides and the rear of the Maybach: LED lights integrated into the body that illuminate the ground beside and behind the luxury sedan can be activated via the keyless fob. They help avoid unfortunate missteps into potholes or puddles in the dark. The rear of the Maybach is further upgraded with the ultra-flat tailpipes of the BRABUS sport exhaust system.

BRABUS also offers exclusive custom-tailored interiors and state-of-the-art multimedia technology for all Maybach models. Owners of the luxury sedan can choose from the finest leathers and Alcantara in any desired color and design.

Special loving attention to detail is present in the waffle-patterned leather carpeting that alone uses several kilometers of the finest thread, sewn with utmost precision. Custom-tailored BRABUS lambs wool floor mats caress the occupants' feet.

The BRABUS development team also created additional interesting features for the standard entertainment system of the Maybach. The 16:9 flat screens integrated into the back of the front seats measure 15.2 inches in the BRABUS version (standard: 9 inches). An additional 6-disc DVD changer rounds out the BRABUS multimedia package for the Maybach.

At the push of a button the Maybach transforms into a luxurious office on wheels: The screens the display the computer's user interface. BRABUS uses a special computer designed for use in a car that is connected to the internet via UMTS. A wireless keyboard and wireless optical gyro mouse make operating the computer easy and convenient. A USB 2.0 port, stylishly integrated into the center console, allows connecting external electronic equipment such as printer or a digital camera.

To remain online even when outside the vehicle the BRABUS communications specialists have integrated a high-tech notebook computer in an electrically operated drawer in the trunk. This computer is connected to the computer network of the vehicle via W-LAN.
