    Damn, wrong again..

    I guessed Swedish-export 1973 Plymouth Barracuda..

If anybody can actually read Swedish, I'm sure there's more info here:

    Pretty cool engine-swap project, anyway.

@Serious Mopar Jones- Incurable: I can only get the really simple bits, like the second line: "This is the Plymouth 'Cuda 73". But this one has 6 cylinders, and they aren't even slanted!

YES, I actually got this one right.

    E30 M3.

The big clue was BMW M POWER and four cylinders. It was obvious.

Saw the M Power with four plugs and said "E30 M3... no way, that's way too easy, what did they swap it into? That strut bar's M3 though..."

When that car came out, my father owned a garage that sold (among other brands) BMW. One of his customer traded in a regular, six cylinder 3 series for that thing. My 14 year old self could not understand why someone would spend more money to loose two cylinders and get a less comfortable car... I have since grown up and, as I get dangerously close to 40, I understand the need for an unpractical, uncomfortable, fast car.

Do it. Just buy one. You will never regret it. It's just money.

@Dwegmull, preview free since March 2009.: That's hilarious. I think you've got it backwards.

Typically, kids start out all hardcore: "Why would you pay 30k for an Audi that'll get smoked by an Evo/F-body/DSM? Who cares about interiors when you're fast!"

Then as time wears on and the back gets creakier, one begins to appreciate not having to spar with one's transportation.

...I guess that's what they say. I dunno.

    This one was really easy.

I almost sold my first Jeep to buy an e30 M3. I'm very glad I didn't. I would've been an idiot 18-year-old at the wheel of an future-classic that needed very specific (and expensive) maintenance.

I'd love to pick one up now, but I'd put too many miles on it. That, and my wife says I'd look like a yuppie prick.

The engine note does nothing for me. Just, sounds like a boring sewing machine. Valve noise doesn't help that much either.

Or, if you come to Austin, I'll take you for a drive through the hill country in my E30 M3. Then you can decide if it's so boring. Hint: You'll need shooting grade ear protection to ride.

I'm just not for perfect sounding sewing machines, loud or not. Maybe it's because of the in-car recording, but it's, not...

@Maxichamp: Actually there was another 4 cylinder M powered car, the 320is E30, a special version of the M3 specifically produced for European Countries which had high taxation on engines > than 2 liters such as Italy. This car had the same M engine but with lower displacement (2 liters instead of 2.3) and 192 hp. The body had narrow fenders like the non-M3 E30s but it had front and rear spoilers. Unlike the M3 the 320is was available both as 2dr and 4dr.
