@Novaload Misses Murilee: I hear you, although it was a Messerschmidt Kabinenroller, not a BMW Isetta. Too bad those guys are out of business.

Just in time to replace all those gas guzzling SUV's, the new family car!
(Teardrop and babe not included, your mileage may vary)

I just hope that new Isetta will have the funky reverse tricycle like wheel setup.

This is a 1959 Isetta with a Chevy big block (730bhp). It's the automotive equivalent of sticking a rocket up a frog's ass.

Wow. So, on the Jalopmeter, how high is that? I think my mind might be blown.

My first reaction was "Holy shit, you mean the Hot Wheels car was real?" But when I googled for a pic of the Hot Wheels car, I got stuck in some kind of e-rift and ended right back at Jalopnik:

Shame on you!
Actually not, that is just simply stunning. I think some of my brain cells just exploded when I tried to work out a rough power to weight ratio. After some more calculation, it came to this: ∞.

Awww...you don't want to shame me. I can think of 1000 reasons why you don't. ;)

The all-new 7-passenger BMW Isetta. You're not the only one who's 10 times larger than in 1957.

I'm not trying to bash the 1 series, I think they're fun little (read, not so little) cars, and sized about the same as the old 3 series, but they're just not 2002s. They're just not that small, or nimble.
I don't like the idea of reviving the Isetta nameplate, but I do like the idea of a smart fortwo competitor.

Your comment is also a very sad one. Because it might turn out to be true.
