    @HoonThatFerrari: The whole wing plus nose is definitely under 50 lbs, total. Probably closer to 20.

    @f86sabre: The nose is nothing but 20ga sheetmetal, all welded up, then sheetmetal-screwed to the front clip and the bumper.

    Good job, guys. Sorry I didn't get to hang out with any Jalops, as I was in the control tower for the whole race. I was pleased to see some old-school BMW muscle in the race, though-- see you at Thunderhill!

    Sunday we ran great until Mad Science Senior was smacked by the Magnum P.I.G. MR-2 and bent up the front suspension. What position was the C.S.I. Miami BMW when that happened????? 69th place....go figure!

    Hey, that was MY extra guibo! He came by our pit during our second engine swap of the day and just mentioned their guibo had bit the dust. I remembered I've had a spare one in the backseat of my car for a few months (5-fingered from the Black Iron Racing boys no-less!).

    @gielamonster: we actually ended up with 2 guibos from very friendly teams (thanks Porcubimmers and MetroGnomes!) AND we had the extra one driven up from LA around 12:30 that night...

    @BrAff: You also borrowed one from Barbarian Motor Works (of which I was a visiting mechanic/engine donor) but it was the wrong size.
