Those are the right years, Murilee. I was always partial to the 63 but it's interesting how they evolved from say 59 - 71--very natural and nice evolution.

@boosted-lego-wagon -> now boosted to 350hp: Nice- as a northern New Englander though, my reaction is "Hmm- not too bad". With 20 dollars spent at the hardware store and an afternoon's worth of elbow grease, I could get an inspection sticker on that easy.
@Prince Valiant von Hyperpak: We don't need any of those snobbish coastal affectations such as "inspections" or "smog checks" here in Colorado. And I'm sure that cars like this have nothing to do with the brown cloud often sitting over Denver.
Had I been sporting my digicam, I could have bagged us Jalops some DOTS:BE Checker Marathon lovin' today en route to my cardiologist appointment. On Saticoy St. in Canoga Park, CA (west end of the San Fernando Valley just north of metro L.A. but still within the L.A. city limits).
Aftermarket faded gold paintjob, but otherwise looking sound. Parked in front of a charming retirement/convalescent home. I saw it as I drove past (westbound), but did not take the time to stop and investigate.
@voodoojoo: Wow, the one I spied today wasn't in any kind of taxi livery getup. As a SoCal dweller, cabs around here are all Crown Vics or (older) Caprices, although Mopar minivans are increasingly popular.
Around my doctor's medical plaza, I see increasing numbers of Sprinters rigged up as high-roof shuttle buses, complete with wheelchair lifts, to transport the elderly and infirm to their appointments (possessing two sound legs myself, I always park in remote corners of the lots, leaving the close-in spots to those who need them but may not qualify for special parking placards).
Gotta love the chop saw in the back of the Olds. Methinks wagons then could take more abuse, relative to their intended purpose, than most trucks can today. Hell of a lot better looking, too. Actually, let's just give up and double-park these three in the JFG, Buick hubcaps and all.
Anyone know what that is parked across the street from the Olds, by the way? It's DOTS-eligible and looks oddly familiar.
Looking forward to Downsized Wagon day. I've got a Fairmont in queue.

That '63 is scary. I think it's a definite contender against the Alameda '70 Impala.

Now when cars take a hit, they get plastic crack up/missing pieces.
Rock on, Ladies!

_Especially_ that Plymouth. Did Plymouth and Chevy/GMC ever get into a cage match over the "Suburban" name?

Those fenders are gonna be a bitch to find I bet.
I'm sure it was just a typo, but for reference, here's a '72 Suburban:
