As a minor nerd issue, did the US not get the Audi 5000/100/200 wagon, the one with such a severely sloped rear window that it's almost a hatchback? It's probably not quite as nimble, but I'm sure it's decent.
If this was a US market WITH A/C E30 coupe in this condition he could probably get $4-5K for the car. The prices on really nice E30s have been creeping up, but there are plenty still in the basement of sub $1000. I just sold my 87 325 4 door for $1800. I would say he is off by at least $5000, more like $8000.
"Hey honey.. remember that old blue dress.. think you could squeeze into it so that I can get some pics of you with the wagon before we sell it.. perhaps after I'm done takin pics we can fold down the back seat and get you out of that tacky thing, you know, like old times."
I've owned vehicles that didn't come with AC (my favorite thing was going to job interviews the summer I finished college, in a suit). I don't like weather over 75F, so even upstate NY summers are brutal as far as I'm concerned. So, no thanks. A wagon with no AC is just that much more glass area available to heat the interior air on a sunny day.
So you put Hankook tires on what is supposedly the love of your life? I also don't like the "I am a professional mechanic and I've done everything is should need for the next 40k miles...and if you cross your fingers, it won't throw a rod in the next 5K. Well, you can find out whilst sweating to death, because the car doesn't have A/C.

@Mike the Dog: Or people who live in Tennessee, where it's been 90+ for the last week, with humidity over 80%. No AC is fine if you live in Maine, or upper Wisconsin, or nice cool dry places like that, but down here? What Novaload Misses Murilee said. Growing up, my dad had a '71 Valiant (LTOP and all) - bulletproof, except for AC compressors. He finally gave up on them, and we rolled down the windows. But it was dark green (almost identical to the color the National Park Service used to use), and had a black vinyl interior. So we sweated A LOT.
@Bauhaus: I currently live in Michigan where the temp regularly gets around 90° in the summer with 80%+ humidity. I could have the air in my Eagle repaired and charged for about $200 but since I never use it, why bother? I consider the manual windows and lack of A/C to be assets rather than liabilities.

I had to vote Nice Price just because all the recent service he lists would cost you at least $5k at a competent shop. Also because it's a wagon, and a looker to boot.

@CorporateFelon: In the "in motion" pic in the ad, it seems to have a blurred-out Cali white plate instead of the German plate featured in the parked pictures. One could always e-mail the seller and ask.

Very nice looking rare wagon. I believe that had the 2.5L, which was a better engine then the 2.7L. All of this considered, would it really be worth the $15K or could you pick up an M3 for that price?
Chances are, maybe not. But I don't know if I could pay that much for this car.
@bliq00: I meant to add, E30 M3. It seems like the price of those are going above the E36 now. Its just a completely different car. I payed $2,500 for my 325is in the 90's, but they are also growing in value.
@Tossed Accordtaco salad over Malibu: Don't know much about the VCs, do you? The only difference between the top of the line wagons and their 4-4-2 counterparts was a slightly different state of tune - and you could still order the top of the line W30 engine for your new wagon if you knew which parts to ask for (dad did). At 130 in a VC, the engine is still good for another 15-20 mph before you need to worry about breaking something.

Hmm. Well, not crack pipe, then. Hash pipe, maybe.
It's certainly not a Nice Price, though, unless he's done all the paperwork and gotten it reg'd/insp'd/smog'd. Even then... I dunno.
I'm inclined to guess that "original European plates" is a euphemism for "good luck, sucker". Pass the glass.

But $15,000? For a 20 year old car?
Really?
Only if the chick in the dress comes with it.

In a E30 at about 110mph?
I think ya be lucky if the Vista Crusier could get up to that speed..
