    Not to pick nits...but weren't some of the rally cars that showed up in the Subaru and Mitsubisovshits floors privately owned, Vermont Sports Car's and ACP's respectively. "Sponsored by...", yes, but not owned.


    (OK, I *am* picking nits...)


    I need to get my ass down to NAIAS when I'm back in town to see this BATshit crazy car in person (not a nit pick).

    Beautiful car, no doubt a nice guy, but something rankles.


    If my wife, were to suffer the same way (God forbid) and I were to spend a substantial 6 figure sum in her memory, it might well be in the form of a research grant, or something to alleviate the pain of those already suffering.


    And I'd pay a proven PR team to do the awareness thing.


    Her memory, and the fight against the disease, would not, IMHO, be best served by building a flash motor.

    The story above isn't quite accurate. Kaberle bought the original BAT 9 as a teenager. It was inexplicably at a used car lot in Northern Michigan. He sold that car to a Japanese collector and got money to pay for the treatment, as well as a couple other cars, including the F40.


    Though its looks are up for debate in pictures, it's incredible in person.

    It's rare that a car should combine so much good and so much bad in one design.


    I looked at the front and side aspects and got shivers of revulsion, felt a little queasy and was contemplating going downstairs and making a cup of tea.


    Then I saw the rear three quarters, I suddenly felt a rush of adrenaline, felt a twitching down below and had to call the Girlfriend for some attention.


    That dentist is a clever bastard.
