    In a effort to consolidate readership, concentrate clicks onto the most popular blogs and save on server costs and thus charge higher advertising premiums, Gawker Inc. has decided to promote more cross-posting in its blogs and eventually consolidate the blogs down to a more manageable and readable number.


    It has been decided that Fleshbot and Jezebel will be consolidated with Jalopnik, whose loyal readers and commenters are huge fans of (mechanical) porn and celebrities (mainly Megan Fox and Charlize Theron). There was also a discussion whether Gizmodo could be incorporated, but the robogasmic enthusiasm from Jalopnik will likely be short-lived after the Tranformers films are completed.

    @Mobius_1: Any site that is as goofily in-love with Apple as Gizmodo shouldn't be allowed anywhere near Jalop.


    Apple is the anti-Jalop of computers. No touching, no tweaking, DEFINITELY no hacking or hooning. Just use our computer the way we say to. Bastards.

    @Flathead Smith:The math for a V-10 doesn't really work out very well and therefore are not particularly very smooth engines. Basically there is a power pulse every 72 degrees and will not run smoothly unless the cylinder banks are at this angle (unless the engineers resort to balance shafts which rob power). The Viper V-10 has an angle between the cylinder of 90 degrees and to me does not sound right and is kind of a rough running engine. It is my understanding that the Italians and others do use 72 ° between the cylinders, but I still don't like it. I think a V-8 and a V-12 sound much better and make more sense from an engineering standpoint.

    @acarr260: Ahh you know after spending so many hours working on a site, once you get link backs its pretty rewarding! So no need, but believe it or not doing what I gave me quite a bit of traffic. Yeah the Pagani press people sent them to me. I looked all over the internet and I was the only one to have them.     @Jérôme de Sad: I have no objections to yourself, your blog, your content, anything. I said the same thing to you that I've said to the dozens of others who have come onto Jalopnik and done the same thing. It's nothing personal, and nothing against you or your blog.


    Many of us here (possibly myself included, but I ain't admittin' nothin') write for other blogs. I've begun following many of the other commenters' blogs just because I respect them as a part of the Jalopulace. But if we all posted ads after our comments, this would start to look like a Honda Civic forum. Make genuine contributions to the Jalopmosphere, and I'll happily follow yours too.
