In reply to From the Clutches of the Grave: Saturn Vue 2-Mode Hybrid rated at 27/30 mpg by EPA
The new Saturns are looking good. The fit and finish is pretty good, and the interiors have improved greatly.

@WilliamG.: Just coz it's rated doesn't mean you can actually buy one. You would be surprised how many cars are rated by the EPA each year which never make it to the US market. I know because I was an intern there for about 3 months at the NVFEL, Ann Arbor. There were all these Euro-spec beauties in the holding area which were being rated because the MFRs had tentative launch plans. You know, just in case sort of thing.

I know Oakley has done glasses with mp3 built in, so they obviously missed the "CNC Music Factory" opportunity here.

Things that make you go "hmmm."

We've always known they were terrorists. Hell, they're run by AOL, last I heard, and anyone who's been on the internets since the early 1990s knows that AOL is, has always been, and will always be, the epitome of evil. Right up there with Microsoft.

"we wonder what the point is here"

Then you fail, go back to school and go pre-med or something. The last thing the auto industry needs is people that don't know "what the point is here".

@lilwillie: I recommend getting a few degrees in something that isn't affected by the business cycle. Something involving teaching works. Medicine is fine. Law is OK too. Divinity is the best though, because they actually show up in church MORE often when the economy tanks.

Ladies and gentlemen, I'll be brief. The issue here is not whether we broke a few rules, bad-mouthed a few cars, or took a few liberties with our female party guests - we did.

But you can't hold a whole blog responsible for the behavior of a few, sick twisted individuals. For if you do, then shouldn't we blame the whole blogging system? And if the whole blogging system is guilty, then isn't this an indictment of our edutainment institutions in general?

I put it to you, Greg - isn't this an indictment of our entire American society? Well, you can do whatever you want to us, but we're not going to sit here and listen to you badmouth the United States of America. Gentlemen!

    Glory, glory hallelujah. . . .
