He was supposed to speak at the NADA Convention in San Francisco last year, but cancelled last minute because of an "emergency fundraiser." Isn't that the same excuse the governor used in the movie Super Troopers? Way to be original, Arnold.
But it's nice to see him actually showing up for something.
Gov. Schwarzenegger, in returning to his homeland, immediately set out looking for ways to bring business back to California. The man just never stops trying to make California better, does he?
It will take a hike in the CA sales tax to put this little baby next to his H2 in his garage. On the bright side, now that he'll have a second car, maybe he'll do something to fight the idea of raising gas taxes.
Or maybe he'll just Californicate as he usually does and we'll all be fucked.
@mricyfire: You can't just convert british pounds to dollars and call it a day.
The 350Z (they don't list the 370 on their site) costs $26,729 pounds sterling in the UK, which would mean that the 350 would have to sell for $37,538 base model in the states based on your calculations.
@mricyfire: It competes with the Porsche Cayman, so the price is reasonable. If you actually shopped this market segment, you would find that the performance envelope compares favorably to its competitors. With regard to comparison to any 30K car, I'm afraid driving a powerful AWD manual Audi is a completely different experience. Unsurprisingly. It is a good buy to someone like me, who is looking at things like Caymans, M3's or in this case a TT-RS. I especially like the 2+2 TT Coupe design, as I have a couple small kids. Simply, there is no other comparable design. The others do luxury performance in a little bit differently, albeit in their own uniquely excellent fashion.
I can't keep up with the press releases. I'm home sick and need to go lay down.
This car looks like it will go down on my list of cars to look at in 25 years when I go into my mid-life crisis. That's not a slam at all. I like it a lot, but my next car is going to need a few more doors.
I do have one question, though. What is the name of that color? Master Race White?

Okay, not all, but there's quite a bit less wrong now.

And the rear is too generic. Could be any damn jelly bean from the rear. Which is how most of us would be seeing it.

when you can get a STOCK BASE MODEL 370Z with 332hp for $29,000
if the stock TT had those specs than that would be impressive, but it took three chances for them just to compete....lame

And, uh. It doesn't.

And still you fail to tell me why it is a good buy.
The TT starts at $35,000 the TTS starts at $45,000 so it is a safe bet that the TTRS is going to be at least $55,000 base.
SO there I still call it a day and the Z still cost just about half for the same specs on their base model, imagine if the where to up it like a Spec-V...
basically the TTRS is a complete waste of money and brings nothing new to the table... and it is still pretty sad that the third TT model puts out such low stats for such high price.
