A Long Island, N.Y. car dealership caught the whole thing on its security camera: Two would be thieves, unsuccessful in their attempts to steal a 2012 Audi S5 convertible, returned an hour later, set it on fire and fled again.

Someday, automakers may have to confiscate all cameraphones when they preview new models at dealer meetings. But, you know, whoops. Instead, we may have just found out that Audi's planning a special edition S5 4.2.

While The General may be King Of The Pushrod V8, those Yurpeans have cooked up some pretty good overhead-cam competition. How about a straight-from-the-factory V8 that redlines at a lunatic 8,250 RPM?

The 2010 Audi RS5 isn't leaving much to the imagination in these shots from the Nürburgring, and the finish makes it more noticeable. About the only thing we can't see is the 450 HP, 4.2-liter V8. [WCF]

We were getting seriously tired of seeing dolled-up German tuner cars without a whiff of additional grunt. Thankfully, the ABT Audi AS5-R adds a big stinkin' turbo for 510 HP to match the new looks.
