    I may get one of these if they hit North America. Of course, I'll have to tolerate all the Camry and Accord drivers who explain why it's such an awful deal, and that it just isn't what I SHOULD want, or SHOULD be driving. Somehow, I doubt that will impede my decision. Even a little.

    @Tomsk is leading the search for the preview button:

    1) I looked into it, as they offer the 6MT on the SRT8 models. The parts are there, but the swap would be ~$5k...which puts it out in future PCH territory.

    ...And it won't come here to the states, as it would not only compete directly with the S4/RS4, us Americans clearly have no appreciation for high-performance hatches/wagons, and we would never want any such thing. No sirree, never....

    Why all the bickering? We won't be getting this in the states nor will we get anything else that's on my wish list like something with a TDI, Quattro, DSG & 2 Doors. VW and Audi have had their heads up so far inside of their asses.

    Actually, Clarkson loved the S-Tronic box when he tried it in the old shape TT (the 3.2 V6 edition). And he's right to love it, I've got one in a GTi and it's superb. I never thought I'd buy anything other than a manual, now I don't think I'd buy anything other than a DSG/S-Tronic. It really doesn't miss a trick and even in manual mode it provides practically seamless power. I can't recommend this box enough.
