It would be even better if they connected the track to the road that goes around the whole building because the only thing better than a race track is a longer race track...
Do you people really not know that Chrysler had a proving grounds in auburn hills???
I can understand the europeans visiting the site.. but the michiganders?
Now that the government owns Chrysler apparently (debt possession being 9/10ths of the law) the public schools have now made it mandatory to learn your patriotic history of NewCo LLC.
There will be a test on Friday, that will count towards 50% of your citizenship grading. Being born in the US is apparently not enough, ignorance of history will not be tolerated (rewriting to suit OUR needs is fine).
Just a side note, there will be extra credit given to those who complete an essay on Chryslers involvement for the success of the oak ridge plant for the development of nuclear weapons. Credit will consist of one "get out of PCH" card, redeemable at any "american" (registered trademark of whitehouse) auto manufacturer.
Funny you should mention that. Is it just coincidence that the access roads around the Great Mall here in the SF Bay area (which used to be a Ford factory) seems quite a bit like a decent kart track?
I'm sorry, Chrysler. I'm so sorry, but that is that absolute last place on Earth I would go in the event of a Zombie Apocalypse. Couldn't you have designed it to be an old person home as well as an office building? It'd actually get used if it was geriatric-ready.
Big step up over a merry go round, or looking at the aquaria at the pet store. Will I need my own driving shoes, or can I rent them there, like at the bowling alley?
That looks like a fun straight with a Viper :-D... Hell if I could pull the speed limiter out of my Expedition it would be fun in that too (Anybody know how to do it btw?) Honestly thought, since their bankrupt, no new development is probably going on. They should open it up to the public for track days and make some money
@wrx-tyrannosaurusWrx thanks for the: To expand on wrx's point, you can find a large cliff to drive it off of. The air resistance on that large frontal area will hurt your terminal velocity, but just load it down with a ton of bricks, and you should get it to go/drop pretty fast. Everybody wins!
Damn, that's it!! Use this facility to host TG-US. Not only is the facility perfect, but the local automotive infrastructure is ideal for any stunt, challenge, or general mayhem they could think of. Great idea! Make it so!
@leavethegun-takethecannoli: You're getting all riled up 'bout Obama...I like it, its good to see some good passion out there. People don't give a shit anymore and thats worse than anything.
I volunteer to work the food court and give people complementary drift demos on the test track during my lunch break. If you need me, I'll be in the Sbarros located next to the Pretzel Hut and the bourbon chicken place.

The bad news: Turn 3 apex is across from Cinnabon & you'll totally lose concentration as the aroma wafts across the track.

Looks like the infield could be made into a nice playground for Jeep Wranglers.
As I said in the earlier post, isn't this the original "Lutz Ring"?
05/05/09
Actually, since he started at GM Europe, maybe they should just name a 'ring over there after him.

Dollar Stores?
That's cool, they can sell the stock of GM, Chrysler, and all of our other government owned banks and industries.
Obama: Hey Biden, tell'em what we're going to socialize next!
Biden: College loans, and of course there will be strings attached, but we'll fill in the contract later, just sign now.
