Frankly, I'm surprised the Lunar Rover has not been a great source of inspiration for automotive stylists. It's TV spokesperson will surely be Major Matt Mason.
"Inside, the mesh seat is upholstered in NASA's finest nylon webbing and lacing..."
Yeah, those tires will totally support a quarter ton when they hit an American-sized pothole. Why do designers think the tires on their future-rides need to be kate moss-skinny?
@Graverobber: There is a whole lot of nonsense just to look techie or trendy. Look at the stripe of leds on the wheel covers. Why are the wheels so complicated, should be a 13 inch steelies with some fat tires. The cargo box while trying to be super adaptive is crap in every configuration. This man should stick a postit on the monitor saying KISS.
The Piaggio was succesful for doing exactly the opposite of this, and it was a trycicle without any leaning shenanigan.
@#6: What a great idea. Get her to hold a metal pole while you're doing it. Put a flag on top of the pole so she thinks it serves a purpose. She'll never know it's a lightning rod.
Why does everything "futuristic" have to look like a 5 year old made it out of an Erector set? It makes some of these cheap Chinese cars look stylish and well made.
@leavethegun-takethecannoli: @DonLuc: You never rotated a bucket of water over your head without spilling a drip? I´t called centrifugal force that hold´s stuff in place, leaning over will spill less coffee.
@leavethegun-takethecannoli: No... the only reason for it to lean is to help it maintain balance as it turns. It would, therefore, lean at an angle to keep your coffee in the cup, as opposed to sloshing to the outside of the corner.
I think I'll just be the first one to say it: This looks fucking stupid. Completely hideous. It looks like someone beat a SmartCar with an ugly stick and tacked on a flimsy piece of shit bed.
@OldeEnglishD: That is funny on many levels. I fully support nominations of this to COTD. It is the funniest thing I've read today...and possibly yesterday, too.
