    The internet is great and all, but what's going to happen to millions of men who are seeking unbiased views on how to spice things up in the bedroom and no longer have a simple, concise, 4-page cluster of ads at the end of each of these mags, complete with scantily-clad women airbrushed to look half their age?


    Won't someone please think of the middle-aged men trapped in loveless marriages of routine?

    well, if the Carpocalpso takes down Motor Trend, then it won't have been entirely in vain. As long as I've been read car mags, MT has consistently been the worst written with the poorest level of information and editorial integrity. It's only redeeming feature was that it was the car mag most likely to be stocked by libraries - very helpful for a poor teenager.

    Oh, I agree that they need to seriously trim down. But there are some great magazines in there.


    For instance, I hope that High Performance Pontiac lives. It was bit of an obscure magazine, but the covered nothing but the greatest Pontiacs, cars that are generally ignored by other similar magazines such as Popular Hot Rodding.

    @pauljones: The most rational thing to do with HPP, looks like, would be to integrate that content into one of their other magazines like Popular Hot Rodding--thereby saving the nifty Pontiac coverage and getting one mailing out of the way.


    I guess I'd think you'd run out of stuff to talk about when the mags are that specifically focused. Niche market coverage is great, but yeesh.

    If it weren't for HPP, Pontiacs would be almost completely ignored in favor of yet more Mustangs, Chevelles, and Camaros.


    I like me some Pontiacs.


    And does anyone know what the hell happened to Stuff Magazine? That was my bible as a pubescent teenager back in the day...
