Aww shit...
Get your towels ready, and grab yo'self a bottle (yeah!),
Everybody in the place hit the muthaf*ckin' throttle (yeah!),
But stay on your muthaf*ckin toes,
We amphibbin' this - LET'S GO!!!
I'm on a boat (I'm in a car),
I'm on a boat (I'm in a car),
Everybody look at me 'cause I'm sailin' on a boat (an' drivin' in a car),
I'm on a boat (I'm in a car),
I'm on a boooa-car-sumthinnn',
Take a good hard look at the muthaf*ckin boat (car, yeah!),
We're headin' to the water, so turn off 'lectrical switches,
Just sit yo' asses down & have a wine cooler, bizznitches,
I'm on a boat muthaf*cka,
Take a look at this thang shake,
Straight flowin on a carboat on the deep... blue... lake,
Bustin' two knots, wind whippin off my azzz,
You can't stop me there now homey,
Cause I got's a weekend RAMP PASS!!!

(Sorry, I know it's been done, but I just can't resist doing a new permutation of that one :D ).
Sure, a separate boat and car would be cheaper, but this guy will get the laugh last when he drives straight into the lake and you have to take the time to drop in and unhook and end up getting eaten by the zombies.
Sorry, but that looks like a lot of fun.
I hope they make a few of these and they have the combined depreciation of a car and a boat. Then I can pick one up in 5 years or so.
An amphibian with a 60mph top speed in the water would allow me to get from St. Catharines to Toronto in a reasonable amount of time (~1hr) without touching the QEW/Gardiner.
Working there instead of working in Niagara would add between 30 and 50k to my salary. If that thing comes with a heater powerful enough to repel 40-below-in-the-middle-of-a-lake, it basically justifies itself financially.
Kills the economics, as both cars and the boat would have to be separately insured and maintained. Plus, I would need to park in Toronto, and pay the city's exorbitant car-ownership tax. Finally, no available parking near the lake shore, so I would need to pay for a cab to get to my toronto-stored car.

Not sure if it's amphibious, but it looks a million times better.

Also, here is the real Corvette speedboat.

That is awesome. But I still prefer an Amphicar.

@Buickboy92: Seconded.
I'm also decidedly partial to the Schwimmwagen.

Added bonus: Shorter trips to Cedar Point.

However, not driving on the QEW between Niagara and Toronto would be pretty nice.
