    12:22 PM     Can't respond to your message directly, but the LS3 is an all aluminum V8, weight probaby close to the weight of many smaller mills. Don't quote me, but 300-400 lbs sounds about right for the LS motors.

    Wow! I should be... You know, CAD-ing up for my Mechanical Engineering finals, but instead here I am.


    Now, since all I hear is the hum of computers and clacking of keys, I cannot pump tha valume. I have to imagine, in my little head the sounds of Formula LS3.


    The soul shreading scream of 6.2Ls sucking air and farting fire!


    Oh... The depression... I need speakers.

    I don't know about hair standing up, but it sounded, well, underwhelming. Does it sound great, yeah, but for an LS3 it sounded like it wasn't being pushed all that hard. It sounds like a big American V8 at middlin' high revs. None of that frantic rip and shriek of teeny little V12s that have to spin at 9000rpm just to get out of the paddock, it sounds like a torque monster you could drive to the 7-11 for a Slurpee.


    Boy I bet it's fun on a road course. Powering out of turns? Oh yeah.

    I've heard plenty of better sounding engines.. But hey, I'm not an American Corvette nut.

    @Ash78: If it intends to push something, it needs to attend Lemans with its driver. If the driver is absent, a crew member should stand in.
