    save the e250s?
    parking brake, parking brake, parking brake... empahsis on the parking brake part... and maybe some of the electronics can be saved... satellite receiver doesn't seem to have been submerged... yet.. #carcrashes

    also this is why (local news stations, i'm looking at you) companies hire a driver and maybe finds something else for them to do in the office.... not have interns drive because they're not doing anything in the office....

    I saw this accident happen. Just to the right, out of the picture, is the Windsor- a pub in Perth, Western Australia.

    This guy was showing off, trying to impress the drinkers out the front of the pub (myself one of them), whipped around the corner- gave it too much in first and lost it. People ran over taking pictures and abusing the poor bastard. He was so embarrassed he had trouble getting out of the car to face the music. That's what you get! #accidents

    David Letterman did this years ago, bet a cabbie that he couldn't be in the far right lane (by Central Park, with 8 - 10 lanes of traffic) and jump the light with a left turn across ALL the lanes. He did it the first time. It was so beautiful, I almost wept. #russia

    Oh yeah, I read this in the newspaper.
    The point of the game is to go really fast (sometimes even top speed) through a red light, and if you don't kill yourself, hit a pedestrian, or any other car(or object) you get up to 10 grand.
    Appearantly, the faster they go, the more money they get. I heard that one dude went 200km/h in an Escalade. #russia

    Very sloppy pitwork by McLaren. Used to be it was Ferrari that specialized in stunts like that. Very cool, level headed response by Raikkonen, given that he's essentially surrounded by his own car's gasoline. #accidents

    Mom generally was a conservative driver, but I do remember as a kid riding shotgun while she was roaring along at 90-100 mph in a big Mercury - it was 3 AM on I-75 south of Atlanta and she was determined to get back to Florida before daybreak (Dad was asleep in the back seat). That road-warrior feat on her part was impressive to a wannabe-jaded-and-worldly 14-year-old. To her credit, she was pretty skillful with a stickshift - having owned some pre-automatic Fords and a couple of old-skool Beetles helped. I don't remember Mom ever having been in an accident where she was at fault, though she had been in a couple of minor fenderbenders through others' carelessness.

    As for me, I have yet (knocking loudly and frantically on wood) to be in a serious accident while driving. Now pardon me while I cower in the dark for having made such a rash and disaster-inviting statement. #accidents
