2009 Infiniti G37 Convertible Teases Us Right With New Shot

Credit goes to Infiniti for dropping the most direct and revealing "teaser" shots for the 2009 Infiniti G37 convertible, which is set to debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show this fall. Perhaps Infiniti is being generous in light of other automakers boring us with repeated glimpses...or perhaps it is because our pshop of it isn't that far off from the predictable design. Press release below the jump.

Mitsubishi's LA Design Challenge Entry Reveals MMR25, Rally Racer Of The Future

Each year the LA Auto Show pits the best of the best of designers from the automakers to try and design some creative looks at our automotive future. Last year, it was all about "green," but this year, the project's called Motorsport 2025, and it's designed to show off what the race car of 2025 will look like. While we don't have the full gamut of responses to show off yet, we do have a sneak peek at Mitsubishi's entry to the quasi-esteemed contest based totally in unreality. It's called the MMR25 Rally Racer and yes, it's meant for the rally courses of the future. Frankly, we were kind of hoping dirt would be abolished by 2025. Full press release after the jump — along with a rear view of the dirty red racer.

2010 Ford Mustang Seats And Center Console

We're getting a steady stream of teasers on the newly updated 2010 Ford Mustang, like this first look at the seats and the new center console. Obviously seats need to be comfortable first and attractive second, but these look like they fit both bills pretty well. The new center console appears taller, integrating the armrest right into the surface, with a little door in the middle for storage of all your favorite car-worthy junk. Take a look a those new door inserts too — pretty sharp if you ask us. We won't be seeing the actual Mustang formally until the end of November at the Los Angeles Auto Show, so we'll just have to make do with the teasers as they come.

CNG Toyota Camry Hybrid

CNG-Powered Toyota Camry Hybrid Coming To LA Auto Show

Toyota announced today plans to show off a CNG Camry Hybrid concept at the LA Auto Show in November. For those not in the exclusive "T. Boone Pickens Fan Club," CNG stands for "Compressed Natural Gas." Although details are sparse on what to expect in LA, the press release below the jump does provide lots of memories of Toyota's failed 1999 CNG Camry experiment, undertaken during the heyday of the SUV when cheap gas was plentiful. Hybrid Mini Cooper Heading To LA Auto Show?

According to Car Magazine, they've shot pictures of a test mule for a forthcoming Mini Cooper hybrid. Along with the shots, they've also got a dose of scheduling speculation to go with it. They think the vehicle is scheduled for an LA Auto Show unveiling by BMW boss man Norbert Reithofer and the nil-emissions Mini will go on sale in California first. But how can they tell it’s electric? Well, it’s got big “Hybrid Test Vehicle” stickers slapped all over it. More »

Special-Edition Spyker C8 Laviolette LM85 Looks Ready For LeMans

It may look like the Dutch company's GT2 LeMans racer, but the Spyker C8 Laviolette LM85 is essentially a standard road car that's had orange paint spilled on it done up in racing livery. Limited to just 24 units, we're sure it will also include a premium price, though Spyker probably figures that shouldn't be an issue for its customers. Who exactly are these customers? Well, they're likely going to unveil the car at the opening of Spyker's Saudi Arabia showroom. But if you're not in the middle east and you're interested in checking it out, there's a photo of the Spyker's plush interior and more info over at Car And Driver.

2010 Buick LaCrosse Teaser Released, Reveals Buick Badge, Little Else

GM just released this teaser photo of the 2010 Buick Lacrosse, which is set to debut at the LA Auto Show in November. The Epsilon II-platformed, front-wheel-drive, mid-size sedan receives style influence from the Buick Invicta concept and hopes to be just as sexy as the 2008 Buick Enclave crossover.

Nissan Cube USA Website Goes Live Complete With "Free" T-Shirt Offer

The preview website for the US-bound Nissan Cube has gone live, complete with a 2010 Ford Mustang-esque long-lead countdown timer. Ninety days out from the LA Auto Show reveal, the website gives us a peek at the Cube's marketing direction, which seems to be a second-year art-school student's wet dream. It's stacked deep with snappy animations, confusing artistic movies, overexposed images and a link to every known social media widget we've ever seen. But what about that free T-shirt? More »

Detroit Auto Show Continues To Dominate, Snags New Toyota Prius And Lexus Hybrid Debuts

The Detroit News is reporting group vice president and general manager for Toyota of the Americas, Bob Carter, has confirmed the 2010 Toyota Prius will be debuting at the 2009 Detroit Auto Show and will be joined by a uniquely styled and appointed version for Lexus. The Prius was set to move upmarket relative to its former iterations, but with a Lexus version now on the way, Toyota's own marketplace may be getting crowded. But the bigger story is how this news makes things far more interesting for January's Detroit Auto Show.

Cadillac CTS Coupe To Bow At LA Auto Show

Following a teaser preview at Pebble Beach this past weekend, GM announced the Cadillac CTS Coupe would finally flaunt its doorless flanks for the public at this November's 2008 LA Auto Show. Reports, as well as spy photos and official pres shots we've already seen, indicate the coupe will arrive nearly unchanged from the concept that first bowed at this year's Detroit Auto Show, featuring CTS sedan styling forward of the A-pillar but unique, more-aggressive sheetmetal from that point back. With a center-exit exhaust and a steeply raked rear window, the CTS Coupe is going to be a whole new interpretation of Caddy's design language, and we can't wait to see it at the show.
