Compared to the Veyron, which could justifiably be dubbed as mankinds greatest automotive achievement, having the best Porsche (in the guise of the 9ff) is like having the greatest Casio watch compared to a Breitling Aerospace.
"Veyron killer" apparently refers to all street legal production cars that either match or approximate the Veyron's power and top speed. At this extreme end of the sports car spectrum, one looks to find cars with power outputs upwards of 800 bhp and top speeds upward of 220 mph. The "Veyron killer" need not be better than the Bugatti in every respect, it just needs to give you a fighting chance against one on the track.
Currently there are two cars likely to be in production that may qualify for this title.
1. Koenigsegg CCR 2. SSC Ultimate Aero TT
9ff's new GT9-R may be a tuning house car, but it could qualify if produced.
How very understated and quotidian looking. Much like the Veyron, it's cunningly disguised so it won't look like a racing car. The cops would never give that a second glance.
@akirachan & Deartháir: I'm pretty sure that this has been converted to mid-engine (I could be wrong). But Deartháir certainly has a point, it "only" takes a heap of power and a fairly aerodynamic body to give a car a higher top-speed than the Veyron, but it won't be a Veyron killer until it can do everything the Bug can do, but better.
Sigh. As has been pointed out ten thousand times before, it will be a Veyron-killer when it can hit 400+ km/h AND be civilized enough to live with every day. You could commute in your Veyron without requiring any special skills, or having to fold yourself and your helmet inside it over the roll cage. Is this as civilized to drive as a Passat?
Since it's an ass-engined Nazi slot car, probably not.

...Would someone bring back a CanAm-esque racing series so we can actually see these cars running in real life?
