The 2015 Ford Focus just made its debut here at the New York Auto Show, and it looks a lot like, well, a Ford Focus. But! It's got more of a fishy-looking face, in accordance with Ford's new global corporate grille design, and Many Other Things besides.
Like many of you on here, I'm thrilled the 2015 Ford Focus is getting a three-cylinder Ecoboost engine in the U.S. It was brave of them to bring it in the Fiesta, but the Focus is a different league and much more mainstream. Now, who's going to actually buy a three-cylinder Focus?
Every third Focus was sold with the 1.0 Ecoboost three-cylinder in Europe last year, and Ford has finally decided to offer it in the 'States too as an option with the 2015 Ford Focus. There's also a new six-speed automatic.
The current Ford Focus ST is one of the very best hot hatches ever made, but even it cannot match the sheer madness of the old Ford Focus RS. The good news is that Ford may just be cooking up another Focus RS that's even more powerful than the last one.
Ford's loving its new Aston-ish corporate grille so much that it's taken delight in slapping it on everything they make. It began with the Fusion, carried over onto the Fiesta and the 2015 Ford Mustang, and now here it is on the facelifted 2015 Ford Focus.
