Some people might call it "droopy lip".

Wow, a new bumper. That's probably enough to earn it Motor Trend Truck of the Year.

Hmm if they put that nose on their line of child surveillance and transporting vans they might make some money.

    "A softer lower lip"?

That's better than having a stiff upper lip.

    A softer, more sensitive Silverado.

Just what the average truck buyer wants.

    Fug-or-Fab: The New Silverado.

When I first saw this, I was kind of like, "OH NO THEY DI'ANT," but now that I've had a latte and a box of mallomars, I think I'm beginning to be okay with it.

    What do you think?

[ ] Finally, a botox lip done right!

[ ] You know, I love the Silverado as much as the next person, but this makes me feel all stabby

[ ] The new lip is okay, but that dualie bed makes its ass look all fat.

/apologies to Nick for referencing a non-Gawker site.

I hope they do some revisions to that front fascia area. I've always loved Chevy truck designs, but the current one is just not.. Chevy. I miss that big chrome split grill with the dual stacked headlamps of the GMT400 era.

I disagree. I love my GMT900's looks, enough so that I sold an 800 after only owning it a month to get a 900 cuz I really got sick of seeing them around and not having one.

@rlj676-Carbon Footprint Size - Clownshoe: To each his own, and looks are entirely opinion. I personally have a 1994 Chevy Cheyenne K2500, and my ma has a 2002 Chevy Silverado 1500. I've seen the GMT900's around I just don't like them in appearance. Not that this is a fault of Chevy alone, I think a lot of new trucks are less attractive. I can attribute this to their more appearance conscience aesthetics.

The older models have sort of a rugged beauty. Not flashy, but you can still appreciate that the designers wanted it to look handsome. Not entirely just work-oriented, like a lot of Fords come off as.

    @Ford Tempo Fanatic:

I like the old trucks, as my first car ever was an 88 C1500, lowered a little with a 350 and 5-speed.

However, maybe I should put more definition on my statement. I really like the GMT900 once it has a lift and new wheels......stock doesn't look good at all with the pizza cutter wheels and nose down stance.

I think the Superduties look much flashier stock, with big wheels and blinged two-tone paint, etc. If you're not going to mess with the truck, I think lookswise then the Ford is better.

I don't know, the "mean looking" 03-07's have a pretty similar effect.

Admittadly though, there are some people who don't like the NBS's grill/bumper, but hey, that's what GMC is for?

@rlj676-Carbon Footprint Size - Clownshoe: Yeah I'm not saying I think the Chevy looks are any worse or better then Fords, Dodges, et cetera. All trucks have grown larger and flashier, and I honestly can't say one is more guilty then the next. I've just always liked the General's truck designs until the GMT900. I always like to point to my 350 carb'ed 5spd. equipped Cheyenne and say "Thats America." Thing is, like Americans, the new trucks have grown in size and are more about luxury and appearance then plain old work.

I do think with some after market rims and a lift the new trucks look a lot better. I'm talking about stock for stock though, and I've gotta say I think my ratty old work truck is a more handsome beast then the 900. Although I must reiterate, appearances are entirely personal preference and there is no "right or wrong." Just stating my views. The GMT900 is just as much a truck as my AM-only radio equipped Cheyenne is. :)
