Potenitally a load of fun, but you know you are going to eventually get into a lot of trouble with it...

A 500+hp SUV/Coupe/Sportscar/hothatch with 20" wheels is like installing a bedazzler in the batmobile fortwo. It exsits, but it doesn't make an sense.

tire smoke = IDIOT

Idiot + Tire Smoke = Fun

Cars weren't always that powerful, so lets call power 'p'.
Tires are good, they're softer than wood and have more grip, so they are a basic assumption by now. Lets call them 't'.
Lets say the result of an equation containing these variables has to be smoke, denoted by 's'.
The question is then s=?
To find s, we take into account the assumption of tires ('t'), how much power is being applied ('p') and what you call idiocy (lets call that 'i').
Now the last element to add to the equation is the essence of the automobile, which is most definitely not transportation. No, dear sir, it is entertainment. In other words, fun, denoted by 'h' (for hoon).
Now the math.
h cannot equal i, but there may be an element of idiocy in h, therefore it is possible for i to be part of the equation of h as long as h/i > 1.
Lets say it requires that p > 0 and s > 0 to smoke the tires.
Your logic says that s = i
Mathematically, h = p/2t
and s = p/t
so the more power or less tire you have, the more fun it is.
If t = 0 then you have no tires left, hence no fun.
If p = 0 then the tires can't smoke
You are right in that if t = 0 but s > 0, then the variable s is independent from t and that means the smoke is coming from somewhere it shouldn't. So yes, 'i' is a possible outcome of t = 0, but not of p + t.
For the prerequisite that h cannot equal i to be fulfilled, then h > 1 must be accomplished. This can be achieved with a p/t value that is greater than 1.
For there to be smoke, then p = t must be achieved, so you need power equal the amount of grip to break traction.
Under these circumstances, for h/i to be greater than 1, higher values of h must be obtained. This can be achieved by increasing the ration of p to t, and since h = p/2t, you can only have h > 1 when p = 2t, which gives you higher values of s.
This proves that cars became fun the day they could smoke their tires, and it's idiocy when there's no fun in the equation.
Also, it shows that it takes a little bit of idiocy to make things fun, from cars to life. Be silly, live a little.

Any guesses on just what Hardigee's intro will be for this COTD?
I'm thinking it'll be titled "New Math Edition" with a picture of a chalkboard, what do you think?

Sounds like there'll be lots of accident damaged ones to choose from in a little whilw. Might be worth it just to harvest the engine.

Beautiful, Ford. Did you go hiring Maximum Bob? 'Cause that's the kind of move that ONLY makes sense to GM.

I hope someone in Ford World Headquarters is getting mercilessly mocked for this. Unfortunately, he's probably getting praised for saving money.

I've always wanted to see that happen.
