Oops. We took the liberty of pulling down all eleven of the optional colors and taking a peek at the specs before the big bosses in Trollhattan hear about it.

It seems the 9-4X will be making 245 HP at 5,300 RPM and 295 lb-ft of torque at 1900 RPM from its 2.0-liter turbo mill. That'll be good for a 0-62 MPH run in 6.4 seconds — if we're to believe the numbers published on the Chilean Saab website. Fuel economy is impressive for the power output: 25 MPG city and 37 MPG on the highway, though we assume those aren't US EPA numbers. Chilean pricing is about $66,000 including taxes, but it's tough to divine a US dollar equivalent from that number. [Saab Chile (Translated) via WCF]

<![CDATA[2010 Saab 9-4X Spotted Taped Up But Bra-less]]> The 2010 Saab 9-4X may have already been partially revealed, but The Car Connection has gotten their hands on a set of photos of the new Saab that are thankfully much larger and clearer, lacking the bra found on previous spy shots. Based on the same platform underpinning the new Cadillac SRX, the Saab will be a step up in the SUV department from the Swedish brand's Trailblazer-cum-Saab adventures.

Though we've seen the crossover lapping the ring with everyone else, we don't expect the Theta Premium CUV to be a challenger to the CTS-V or ZR1 anytime soon. We do expect it to premiere sometime within the next six months. [The Car Connection]

<![CDATA[GM Buckles To Jalopnik Pressure, Reveals Slightly Less Grainy Images Of Upcoming Lineup]]> UPDATE: We used the "GM Buckles" line for purposes of humor. They really didn't "officially release" these pictures. They're from the same video presentation we saw earlier in the week. Just a wee bit more clear than the last set.

The clamor of every auto enthusiast outlet on the face of this earth was apparently too much for GM. They've just released slightly less grainy shots of what we showed you first Tuesday afternoon — the vehicles "Slick" Rick Wagoner revealed at Tuesday's press conference. Apparently none of the assembled outlets were able to figure out how we got our mitts on those shots of the 2011 Chevy Cruze, 2010 Cadillac SRX, 2010 Chevy Equinox, 2010 Saab 9-4X and an unnamed Buick sedan for 2010 — and of course we're not planning on revealing our slightly silly source. But, thanks to their demand for access, we now get an ever-so-slightly better look at the purported saviors of the GM sales world. Have a gander.

<![CDATA[Rick Wagoner Unwraps First Shots Of Chevy Cruze, Cadillac SRX]]> In the now-infamous press conference from General Motors this morning, Chairman and CEO Rick Wagoner not only spelled out GM's strategy to save itself from impending doom, but also revealed pretty much every upcoming GM vehicle that hadn't already been shown to the public. This includes the first photos of the 2010 Chevy Cruze, 2010 Cadillac SRX, 2010 Saab 9-4X, and the 2010 Chevrolet Equinox. This comes in addition to official confirmation of the 2010 Buick LaCrosse, 2010 Cadillac CTS Coupe and 2010 Cadillac CTS Wagon. So basically, along with GM's own downsizing, they're also putting plenty of enterprising spy photographers out of business too.

<![CDATA[2010 Saab 9-4X Copies Cool Kids, Laps The 'Ring]]> The 2010 Saab 9-4X was caught running round the Nurburgring today just like the big boys and while we're pretty certain the Audi (both of them) is (are) a pinch quicker, the 9-4X is definitely more economical. Word on the street is the new 9-4X will not only be replacing the porky Oldsmobile Bravada Saab 9-7X, but will be doing it with some form of "biopower" like the original show car. The crossover of Trollhattan is expected to be on sale some time in 2009 for the 2010 model year, but that didn't stop our KGP spies from spittin' words about this one — which you can read after the break.

Saab has hit the Nürburgring with their new 9-4x midsize crossover. While we've seen the Swedish variant of GM's Theta/Theta Premium people movers on GM test tracks and on the public roads around Michigan, this is the first time we've seen it getting a true workout to test its handling dynamics at the limit.
