    I'm surprised Saab didn't up the boost to compensate for the drivetrain losses and bulk of the XWD system. The iron-block four can easily handle 50 more horses. I guess they didn't want to jeopardize sales of the thirsty V6.

    Saab has a new vehicle aimed at lesbians. Blah blah blah. It is tall enough to negotiate rutted roads, but we know you won't really do that so we didn't give it true 4WD. Blah blah blah. We have achieved responsible performance. Blah blah blah. In a major technological breakthrough, we raised the chassis so you can drive on gravel. Blah blah blah. We have bold accents that are chrome and/or dark gray. Blah blah blah. It will have XWD and a 6-speed manual to try to appeal to men, but we don't expect to sell many manuals. Blah blah blah. In an automotive first, we have put lights in the cargo area. Blah blah blah. We have Stow-N-Go storage, but we couldn't call it that. Blah blah blah.

    Who wrote this? "Unfortunately, there are no plans for a 280 horsepower 2.8 liter turbo V6 model, but our guess is that we'll see it in the not-so-distant future if Saab wants to remain relevant against its German rivals."


    Saab haven't been relevant against German rivals for quite some time.

    That doesn't look too bad,a vast improvement over Saabs recent styling. I still believe GM missed a trick with Saab,when they took them over Saab were on a similar level at the time to Audi,Audi have just improved while Saab seemed to go downhill.

    @Ash78: About four years ago, my wife and I walked into a Saab dealership to look at the 9-2x (wrx w/ lipstick) and the salesmen were all sitting in their chairs looking at us, and no one got up. It's like they hadn't seen a customer in so long they had forgotten what they were supposed to do.
    The guy closest to us asked "Are you looking for someone?" It was unbelievable. A deserted dealership and they wouldn't even get off their asses to sell a car.
    We bought a car that night, but it wasn't a Saab.
