Looks a great deal better than the 350, but still seems a bit chubby. If I was looking to drop $40k on a car, I'd go for this over a Volt in an American heartbeat.

Looks a little better than the last Z roadster, but the design just doesn't translate into a convertible very well.

In reply to NISMO 370Z: 350 HP Catfish Pricing Starts At $39,130
As a NISMO man, I have to admit this isn't really a true NISMO Car. Just like the appearance and minor sport packages you could buy for the R34 GT-R, Unless you opt for a true S-Tune/R-Tune car, you're not getting something made in house in Omori. This is NISMO stuff added on as an afterthought in the standard factory, and it essentially just looks the bunch, but really doesn't have it's Unibody pop riveted, stiffened, a stroked block, a perfect weight setup, etc etc. This is just one of those silly Visual specials, like an EVO with an FQ400 bodykit, and a mild exhaust.

Real bodykit or not, all you're getting is essentially the standard 370Z Z34. And at 40,000 for some little NISMO stuff, I'm not willing to fork out the cash for it all.

Just wait for the STILLEN parts to come out... Their exhaust system that is currently available is excellent.

Sounds about typical of what I have come to expect from Nismo. Nothing exceptionally exciting... just a name... alllll over the place...

I do wish the replacement floor mats for my BMW were that cheap though...

I've never figured out if the price of these NISMO deals would be better than adding those little bits and pieces myself. And believe me, I'm quite the aficionado of floor mats, trunk liners, and kick plates.

@John Krewson: I usually skip the whole passenger floor mat thing and put mirrors in the passenger foot well instead. They're a bitch to clean, but the view can be quite nice.

@John Krewson: Well, in addition to the parts and labor, there is definitely a premium for the NISMO brand name. It's like that for all premium vehicles. For instance, Lexus is a cash cow, but normal Toyota vehicles have thin margins.
