    Why does every company feel the need to make every car a convertible. For that matter why do people feel the need to buy the convertible. Stop it. You are only encouraging the manufacturers If you want wind in your hair, roll down your windows. Then you dont have to worry about extra weight, chassis flex, and inevitable decapitation in roll overs. Road-rashed heads dont get the ladies.

    @RB26Skyline:

    Because knock-your-socks-off gorgeous girls look much better in a convertible than they do in a coupe with the windows down.

    End of story.

    Great looking car (the coupe). The 'vert is just meh--it loses a lot without a roofline. Those wheels are too busy. But still better than the outgoing version.

    @Ash78: I just saw the coupe in person for the first time--it looks really, really good from the back and I love the wheels... but it's weird inside and the front end's not very exciting.

    Better than the 350, but still lacking some definition. Too much 'bar of soap' to it still.

    Lots of 370 hate here. I was actually starting to like the thing, what with its blippy manny tranny. The door handles remain doochy, though. Very doochy. And the wheels somehow take Gallardo styling and uglify.

    If you drive with the top down does it void your warranty? Oh sorry, this isn't a GT-R.

    Convertibles are for girls. A stunning brunette in a yellow 370Z like this would be a nice pic.

    @85_Grand_National: Not even Adriana Lima could make a yellow 370Z look that good.

    I hate it when topless pics are low res. It's such a cock tease. Makes me less likely to subscribe to that site.

    From that angle it's hard to tell if I really like it or not, but I do like the stars and red stripe. Makes me wonder if it will be powered by hopes and dreams and unicorns and kittens.

    For a car that looks so good with a hardtop, I always thought the convertible versions of the 350Z looked terrible. The 370Z looks to be much the same.

    @elwood: The flat look on the back is what kills them for me. From the 300ZX to the 350Z.

    The haunches of this generation seem to be better resolved and more natural, the last one was fucking lumpy as hell.

    @X5 Son of a Beach: When I first glanced at your comment, I thought you'd referred to the 350Z as "frumpy," which I would wholeheartedly agree with. I reminded me of one of the middle-aged librarian/pastor's wife with a possibly great body hidden under a high collar and tweed blazer.

    Thus far, I'm not a fan. It looks like it has far too much of a bubble butt, like the Eclipse Spyder. I'm all for a little junk in the trunk, but I just think that that junk trunk looks too big for the rest of the car.

    I will reserve judgment until we see real pictures, though.
