You only use an apostrophe if you're making it possessive, i.e.: "My buddy's car", as in the car that belongs to my buddy. When you have more than one buddy, they are "buddies".

The pricing is especially ridiculous because with luxury cars you're paying the premium for the brand. So the brand has to be great. People buy those Lexus ES's because the LS built/still holds up the reputation of the brand. So the lower end cars can charge a premium to be lumped under the same family name.
What exactly is Lincoln's standard bearer for the brand now? Saying wow, you're driving a Lincoln MKZ, that's the same brand that makes the LINCOLN TOWN CAR doesn't exactly equal brand cachet.
The C class sells largely because the S600 exists and all those AMG vehicles exist. Until Lincoln actually has something that sets the brand aside I don't see how they can justify these ridiculous markups.

I dunno I don't think there are that many Lincoln's parked at Bloomingdale's, and much like the other Federated department stores I think it depends which location you're at. i.e. the flagship 34st Macy's carries much higher end stuff than your generic Macy's, and the nicer Bloomingdale's really are pretty cutting edge. At least for suits anyway there was everything from Brioni to Armani to Tom Ford. Only way to get a nicer suit would have been to go bespoke.
Any more cutting edge and you're probably taking the subway instead of driving your car to go buy clothes anyway.

I really, really want to know why anyone would choose this Lincoln over the Audi.
Domestics don't seem to understand that they're not going to lure us back into showrooms by approximating the competition: they need to blow them away in the value department.
I like what I see from Ford lately but this is sad.

I do agree, though. about the interior. I usually hate black as an interior color, but that is one of the most handsome interiors I've seen in a modern car; this is something that Ford is doing exceptionally well lately, while Honda, Toyota, and BMW are slipping.

I wonder how the handling would improve with some better tires? It's too bad FoMoCo won't just shutter Mercury and bring the price of this down to where the Merc version (I can't even remember its name) is.

The only idea I have is to make Mercury a brand that focuses solely on selling hybrid versions of ford, such as the Fusion Hybrid. Escape Hybrid. Those models already charge $5k premiums, which puts them right in line with where Mercury pricing should be anyways.
Let Ford focus on "normal" ICE cars, let Mercury focus on Hybrids and perhaps, eventually, a city car a la the Smart ForTwo, and then take Lincoln another step up market to take on the likes of Mercedes and Lexus.
