    @Steven Dale Schmitt: They're thinking that Birkenstock-wearing enviro-weenies aren't the only people with money that's green. You might not like it, but they'll sell every copy they can build and that's the beauty of capitalism: Choice.


    If hybrid nerdlinger-mobiles outsold f-150's 2:1, you better bet your ass Ford would be in the nerdlinger game, but dollars vote, and aside from times of high gas prices, they vote for awesome rather than boring. Gas is at $2, I vote awesome.

    This thing costs only $1,000 less than I paid for my house! And I don't even live in Detroit! Still, I kinda want it even if I know it won't be anywhere near as reliable as my Nissan Frontier (318,000 miles of pizza delivery), if for no other reason than I would finally have something I could drive off road in.

    Ditto. If only I lived somewhere where I could actually make use of it, like New Mexico. As it stands, it's not really the ideal commuter vehicle for Boston traffic ;)

    @VTEC: You put on a lift kit and drive over traffic.


    I just dodged an enormous toll booth backup yesterday, by the skin of my teeth. Would have added at least an extra hour, to go less than fifteen miles.
