Fast Lane Daily Spies Cadillac CTS Coupe, Cornucopia Of GM Products

Fast Lane Daily's insomniac spy photographer, Keith, spotted this abundant collection of General Motors products taking a break from some high-altitude testing in Colorado's Rocky Mountains. Most obvious is the 2010 Cadillac CTS Coupe, but also tagging along were a couple of small hatchbacks, one of which looks to be the 2011 Chevy Beat. One shot even shows what could be the 2011 Saturn Aura, or perhaps just the European Opel Insignia. All that and more in today's episode of Fast Lane Daily. Video after the jump. More »

Cadillac CTS Coupe To Bow At LA Auto Show

Following a teaser preview at Pebble Beach this past weekend, GM announced the Cadillac CTS Coupe would finally flaunt its doorless flanks for the public at this November's 2008 LA Auto Show. Reports, as well as spy photos and official pres shots we've already seen, indicate the coupe will arrive nearly unchanged from the concept that first bowed at this year's Detroit Auto Show, featuring CTS sedan styling forward of the A-pillar but unique, more-aggressive sheetmetal from that point back. With a center-exit exhaust and a steeply raked rear window, the CTS Coupe is going to be a whole new interpretation of Caddy's design language, and we can't wait to see it at the show.

2010 Cadillac CTS Coupe Strips Down, Shows Some Skin

A Cadillac CTS Coupe without the usual clunky camo was scoped with a long-range lens through a misty Michigan morning by the eagle-eyed photographers at KGP. The photos show that in the transition from CTS coupe concept to reality the designers managed to maintain the large and shapely rear end, but with a few key differences. The tweaks include the addition of safety equipment like red reflectors and although the concept was pillarless, an obvious B-pillar. At least the designers have added a small piece of dark cheater glass, which we're starting to think of as the new requirement for any cut-down sedan-to-coupe platform from a US automaker. Fans of the concept should find these photos encouraging. Full spy report below.

GM Wants More Money, Fewer Employees; Cadillac CTS Coupe, Saab 9-4X Get The Green Light

GM announced in a press conference this morning that its turnaround progress was proceeding so well that significant layoffs were needed. Oh, and please, send money. But the more pressing concern this week is to come up with $15 billion through cuts to the cost of salaried employees, particularly among white-collar staffers, along with spending in areas like health care costs and dividend payments. As part of its second restructuring this year, the company also announced that the 2010 Cadillac CTS Coupe and Saab 9-4X have been green-lighted. Details on where the job cuts will hit hardest were absent, but if our job description had the word "truck" in it anywhere, we'd be dusting off the resume quick-like. More analysis after the jump. 2010 Cadillac CTC, Cadillac CTS Coupe, Spotted From Behind

Check out the rear end on this 2010 Cadillac CTC, the 2010 Cadillac CTS Coupe but with a 'C' for Coupe instead of an 'S' for Sedan (get it?). Of note is the smooth glasshouse created by the hidden B-pillar and the center-mounted square exhaust pipes contained within the bumper. Also apparent is some sort of hidden door handle, further smoothing out the CTC's lines. Full spy report from KGP after the jump.

Cadillac CTS Coupe Convertible We Never Knew Will Never See Light Of Day

Inside Line's reporting today that GM's killed a convertible version of the hot little CTS two-door. Although to be fair it's hard for us to mourn the loss of a product when we didn't know the General's luxe brand was even thinking of doing a drop-top version of the Cadillac CTS Coupe until we learned of its demise. Still, kudos to the General for the decision because if the convertible version of the CTS Coupe ended up being anything like the most recent series of 'verts from GM — think Pontiac G6 convertible — we're pretty damn happy they won't be building it. Although if they want to build a 'vert version of the Cadillac CTS Wagon, we'd be all for that. True, it'd look ugly as sin, but we'd totally buy one. [Inside Line]

2010 Cadillac CTC Is The New 2010 Cadillac CTS Coupe?

Brenda Priddy's cagey Chris Doane's caught the 2010 Cadillac CTS Coupe on camera. The new Cadillac style is speculated to be actually named the 2010 Cadillac CTC when it officially reaches production in Spring of 2009. Set to be built in Lansing at GM's Grand River Plant, the new coupe will spin out alongside the larger and more in-charge sedan from the General's luxe brand. Otherwise — there's not much more to say other than the remainder of Priddy's spy report below the jump. Check out the high-resolution shot of the new CT...err...Cexiness here. More »

Cadillac CTS Coupe Concept Press Photos Finally Arrive

We saw the Cadillac CTS Coupe concept in person at the Detroit Auto Show in January. We've also seen the production version of the CTS Coupe in spy photos last week. Despite all that CTSexy action out there, it's taken a wee while for the folks at the General's luxe brand to deliver some of the hot press shot action. Yes, seriously, we haven't seen a single press-managed picture of the talk of the town from this past Detroit show. But despite the wait, we're still happy as hell to have them for you below. Enjoy.

    2010 Cadillac CTS Coupe

Unlike the last set of spy photos we saw of the 2010 Cadillac CTS Coupe, these breaking like home run records in Major League Steroids Baseball shots of the new CTSexiness from the General's luxe brand show us a somewhat camo-clad front end. Also, we'll have more shots up momentarily. For the moment, feast your eyes on that Art & Science front end and check out the full spy report from the boys at KGP after the jump detailing all the design differences between the Cadillac CTS Coupe concept from Detroit and this seeming production model.

    2010 Cadillac CTS Coupe

An enterprising spy shooter at Car und Driver named Siler — who we're assured has no relation to the bad guy from Heroes — has captured on film what appears to be two camo-covered 2010 Cadillac CTS Coupes. It's the first known on-road spotting of the new deuce-door CTSexiness, and it appears to — umm — look a lot like the concept car that "blew" our minds last month at the Detroit Auto Show. These shots seem to indicate much of what we'd seen in Detroit would make it's way into a production version.
