I can't believe that the grammar police haven't picked this up, so I'll put my little deputy badge on and point out,

I had to park up there for Dodgers opening day a couple of years back- up behind the Think Blue sign.
Looks like they picked a clear day for the shoot, you can make out downtown in the background.
However, I will tell anyone who buys this the same thing I tell someone who buys an LS Hybrid: You'll get better fuel economy and the same amount of luxury with a Geo Metro with stapled leather jacket seats, a wooden spice rack screwed into the dash, and a Garmin.
It needs more "Active Hybrid" badging, because I can't tell from a dead on front view that it's equipped w/ a smugness device. If I was buying it (and I assure you, I won't be) I'd want to delete a gunch of the writing, especially the crap on the C pillar.
Does any car really need eight speeds? Is the BMW engine really so peaky as to require this type transmission? With the number of planetary gears needed in an eight speed transmission the frictional losses must be high and my guess is that it has four planetary gear sets, which is an awful lot of gears whirling around. They could probably save some fuel by just going back to a 6 speed. I would hate to see the cost of having this transmission repaired out of warranty.
@Flathead Smith: This means you can tune your tranny to the tightest peak fuel efficiency, and put more effort in improving that peak efficiency, rather than over a broad rpm range. That's all.
@DoctorNine's D9 Cat: This is why I like flat torque curves, then one doesn't to worry about all this shifting business.
I have an old Yazoo Mower with a two cylinder Wisconsin engine. The mower has two speeds, low and high. The engine has so much torque that I can take the engine down to just off idle and it will still mow fine for those tight complex areas and it can be opened up for high speed straight cuts. It actually operates very similar to the Shovelheaded Harley I used to have. You could go into forth at 30 and hardly every have to shift again because of the torque of the engine.
I'm trying to stay positive here, but can you really keep a straight face announcing a hybrid with a twin turbo v8? Maybe for a city bus.
Why couldn't they have used the 3.0L TT, or better yet the diesel version. Both engines make plenty of torque on their own, and coupled with the instantaneous E-motor twist you'd be at the country club in no time.
@Comrade Clockwork: Yeah. I really just want a manual 6 in the 335d for North America. Even better with their AWD package. That is all I personally could use. But this is one nice ride.
@TurboBrick [LIGIER]: You aren't current on the latestnews. I'd be shocked if really they went that route. I'm sure others would be all amped up about that news.
@Flagrant German Fanboy: Well, in theory the hybrid V8 could replace the V12 with same performance and better fuel economy, just as a hybrid V6 replaces V8, I4 replaces V6, etc.
@Dr.Danger owns the city turkeys: I just watched that the other night for the first time in 10-15 years. I never realized that two of the singing girls trio were the mom from "Everybody Hates Chris" and the wife from "Martin". /end threadjack

And the actress who played Audrey in the movie showed up on Heroes a couple of seasons ago as Siler's mom. Same breathy voice and everything. She's mostly done Broadway before and since, so it was pretty clearly a deliberate choice...

Funny, that shot of the engine, with the two catalysts hanging down, looks like the devil dog from the Ghostbusters movie. You'd think for one hundred and thirty grand they could have made it look like something from a more contemporary film. Also, the front valance on this car resembles a parrot fish.
A real "ultimate driving machine" would not have a dash-top of such a light color. It might look nice in pictures, but on a sunny day, the reflection in the windshield could be dangerous as well as very annoying.

Now Subie needs to spell out "Subaru Impreza WRX STI spec C" on the tailgate.
It's like those Eastern European basketball players whose names form a semicircle around their number...in other words, excellent.
